Grab buch and take him on the flight back to NY...leave goodrow, wheeler, maybe even kakko in st louis...they can have em...and a big bag full of cash

watched the highlights...and they were plenty deflating...
question is...if this team is pretty much a guaranteed 1 or 2 series and done...is it worth giving up any picks at the deadline?

Our non-scoring beast along the boards and puck possession monster is almost back baby!
as average as this team has been lately...it can only help

I get the curiosity around it, but in all honesty... Why does anybody need to know?
its one thing to not know the exact nature of the injury...
but to be kept from knowing whether the expectation is most of the season vs. 6 weeks, like kakkos case? that seems kind of ridiculous
-
whats the deal with the NHL being so secretive about the nature of players injuries - certainly more so than the other major sports, it seems.
its kind of juvenile...'belichik' like
-
you see gentlemen, the key is to start watching the games, recorded, about 90 minutes or so after puck drop...so when its fairly obvious the rangers are shitting the bed (ie. goalie and defenseman dicking around and giving up the 2 goal lead again)...you just start fucking skipping to the end.

the sentiment was wrong because it was always premature.
sure - he dropped off last season and hasn't played at a high level in the playoffs.
but there were also always team and coaching issues that needed to be addressed.
and the book shouldve never been closed on him so soon in any case.

aren't mushrooms supposed to work miracles for this?

Foxy should take a page out of Panarin's playbook. Shave his head and start playing north-south.

Adam Fox. Burn the tape.
Listen guys, I’m not stupid. Guys a stud. I get it. I ain’t denying the guys talent.
But the guy has ZERO desperation to his game. And you can’t say it’s not frustrating to watch sometimes.
i think the 'lack of desperation' normally shows up as incredible patience with the puck on his stick...but he's just not 'on' right now. a tick too slow/off.

They didn't lose because of a bad call. They lost because they weren't within their defensive structure.
You're starting to see the eventual gaping holes of Wheeler, Bonino, and Brodz in the top 9.
why the hell are vesey and goodrow not being given those minutes...

Goodrow fucked that one up by not getting that puck out…had time and tried to shovel a backhand and flubbed it…
and not sure why trouba didn't just shoot out beforehand...

Is it just me or is this center ice camera unusually low?
its low... the panthers broadcast on espn plus is actually a bit more zoomed out and clearer i think

What the heck is up with Tkachuk? Dude was looking like one of the top 3 players in the world after the last 2 seasons.
-
well - at least a back to back start for Quickie needs to be on the table after he puts up a dominant performance.
-
I always worry about an over-correction to poor defensive performances.
So many coaches in this league seem to react by cracking the whip on playing 'responsible' to the point of then stifling the drive to attack, be a bit creative, play loose etc.
Then we end up a playoff team who can barely enter the offensive zone and put on pressure...

Yea. Those EMTs shouldn't have been allowed in the league afterwards.
They were just hardcore ranger fans...putting the finishing touches on mess's punishment
-
Wish we could see that from a goalie camera angle. Its hard to appreciate how that move works.
-
Think it was mostly accidental...but f' it...dirty? Good. Better than having to throw a helmet at the boards just to get your team to wake the f' up.
-
I found the missing piece for our first line...Buzz Flibbet...
well he may not do anything for our actual production but at least it'll provide a chuckle when they're out on the ice

whats scary/frustrating is there have been multiple stretches in the past when Zib looked like a top 10 NHL player
-
bring back zucc, or buch... or someone else who can fill the role they did...
-
lavy's certainly the difference maker to the way this team is performing as a whole.
but i think Panarin was determined to ball out regardless of who was going to take this team over...
-
the teams structure was so obviously a difference maker in this one compared to last season
lavy is unquestionably a full blown tier or two above gallant in the coaching ranks
