I mean, they could still make dumb trades but I think Drury has a solid idea of what's going on and what needs to be done. He's been an understudy for a few years and the organization still has a solid foundation for long term success.

I agree. I think Sather has been in Dolan’s ear and made this happen. I look for Drury to simply be Dolan’s puppet and for some dumb*ss trades/signings to happen this summer.

On a side note, I’d love to see Sam and Joe step down too just to give the finger to Dolan.

Drury has been in the management side of the game since 2015.

Director of player personnel to assistant GM of both Hartford and the Rangers. Then associate GM. He’s not out of nowhere. Whether he stays both roles I guess is up for he has experience in the front office.
