Blue Heaven
One of the most exciting hockey games I?ve been to in a long time. The atmosphere puts MSG to shame. Always sweet to see the Islanders got eliminated. Dougie Hamilton with an awesome troll job to Brock Nelson. phillyb
Is that a term? Swept in and swept out? Aside from the 2019 NYI, who else has swept in and swept out? (Any iteration of the playoffs is fine)
Sod16
Brent Cygalis's headline says Islanders "Miracle Run" is over. Give me a break. Winning a series and then getting swept is not a "miracle run." Now, if most of those UFAs on the Islanders will oblige us and decamp, the Islanders can maybe return to mediocrity, Trotz and Lou or not.

Now, if most of those UFAs on the Islanders will oblige us and decamp, the Islanders can maybe return to mediocrity, Trotz and Lou or not. It's clearly a miracle run in the context of where they were this off season. Nobody expected them to get near the playoffs and they have over achieved the entire season. A bunch of cast offs and nobodies coached to perfection by one of hockeys nice guys. It's ok to admit that was a fucking good run for them even if they're our bitter rivals. Now, the fact they swept the Penguins and then got swept themselves, improving our draft pick in the process, is about as perfect a conclusion to their season as you could hope for as a Rangers fan. LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN
No one on this forum would be upset if it were their beloved NYR instead, right? Jealousy & envy are rampant here. GO RANGERS!!
Sod16
Islanders were a surprise, but no miracle run. A miracle run might be Vegas last year, Canucks in '82, North Stars in '81 and '92, Philly in 2010 etc.
