"He's sort of like a Cam Fowler-type presence, a guy who has developed into the sort of player you can count on in any situation. I personally haven't coached too many guys who can skate as effortlessly as he does. He can get caught in a bad spot offensively and still manage to recover and you don't see him get beat one-on-one very often."

Joey Keane, D, New York Rangers (Barrie-OHL)

 

Keane really turned heads at the U20 summer camp and made himself a leading candidate for significant ice time on this team. He’s mobile and smart with the ability to contribute at both ends of the rink. “He skates backwards as well as anybody forwards,” said Barrie coach Dale Hawerchuk. A third-round pick and a re-entry draft pick by the Rangers, Keane has quickly become a prospect of significant interest.
