  1. He has been, but DeAngelo replaced him and has been very good in the first 2 games even though nobody probably wants to admit that. Also, that stinks. We've missed Chytil all season. Thems the breaks.
  2. NYR 5v5 through 2 games: 4 GF 4 GA, 50.42 xGF%, 22-19 HDCF, 48-57 SC (all scoring chances) The results are even and they deserve to be even. Don't care about total scoring chance differences when high danger is at least balanced, and so far slightly in the Rangers' favor. This all backs up the eye test through the first 2. The teams have traded chances at 5v5. The fact the Rangers have been able to essentially nullify the 5v5 advantage, and lean into their strengths on special teams and in net, is a terrific start to the series. Hoping this tune carries forward into Raleigh...
  3. This reads like an oxymoron. Reasons to dislike him despite all those reasons to like him are…? Fucked your wife while you were golfing?
  4. His brain is why he’s a top 2 defenseman and top 10ish player in the league, so it’s ok
  5. I haven’t been disappointed in either yet thus far this playoff run.
  6. A series changing injury? As in Chytil gets hurt and that's a rallying point for the Canes to win the series? I get the hesitation but if Chytil is flying and passing everything in practices, he's a major upgrade in the lineup and he's already shown he can be effective in the playoffs in the past.
  7. I wouldn’t take Rempe out for Brodz. Only to get Chytil in if he’s ready
  8. I agree but is Aho really a better setup man than Zibanejad? Maybe he doesn't need as much help as you (and I) thought.

  10. Why do you care is the better question? Don’t see the harm in analyzing the move after some time has passed. Drury has had many moves not work out for him, and the decision he made between Strome and Trocheck is one in the win column. Big win.
  11. Zib - present Kreider - present Igor - present Fox - present (could still do more tbh) Trocheck - present (and then some) We just need Panarin now…to keep on doing what he’s been doing all year. I’m somewhat surprised more people aren’t talking about his game last night. Maybe just a bit overshadowed by Igor Laffy and Trocheck being ridiculously spectacular. He’s driving to the middle of the ice, taking shots when he has a good look instead of forcing extra passes that aren’t there. That play prior to his OT penalty (not his fault) was a thing of beauty. He’s chipping in on the forechecking. He’s laser focused on maintaining the aggression and it needs to stay that way. The production is following.
  12. He definitely was fighting it. There were a lot of unclean stops, dropping or fumbling catchable shots, somewhat shaky rebound control, but this is what elite goalies do. They fight through and persevere, when they aren’t exactly playing up to their A+ level and still get the job done. By the time it hit OT he seemed to be gobbling almost everything up clean by then - like he had finally hit a groove.
