Their top athlete makes less than a MLB 5th starter. Their revenues are a fraction of the other 3 leagues. Their national broadcasters generally regret their broadcasting deals before the ink has dried.

 

I honestly don't know anybody that even watches this league, other than when their favorite team is on. I assume they do exist, though. It is what it is, but personally, I'd rather have the version of the game where there's a chance a player goes in to the stands and beats a fan with his own shoe.

Yet the game is the most popular as ever been. You just like violence and alcohol

What's any of this have to do with revenue? You can't afford a Leafs ticket. Show me a metric that says the sport is trending down, not your anecdotes about how your HS friends yearn for the good ol days.
