It couldnt have happened because Messier was traded for Leetch and Richer had a baby, so he wouldn’t get traded for Amonte because Mike Gartner had a no trade clause. Its all very simple. They would never give up there to player in his prime. Sakic signed cause he knew the AVS would match it. Plus the movie Air Force One came out that year and the money it made was huge in the Avalanche keeping their top player. here’s the story all factual Beacon, and by extension, Ascent Entertainment, was in line to take 10 percent of the profits from the movie. The movie eventually made $315 million at the box office including more than $37 million during its first week in theaters.
