The consensus paid NHL expert picks for SCF are Bruins over Avalanche.

 

I had to find a team in both conferences that:

1. Wasn't the Bruins or Avalanche.

2. Had a reasonable chance of getting to the SCF.

3. Are what I considered undervalued (getting lower odds and respect).

 

Contrarians are usually (spectacularly!) wrong compared to the group think consensus.  But at least a few contrarians are likely going to do better than Bruins-Avalanche and picking every higher seed in every round.

I can see that as a plausible matchup, for sure.

 

I will root for the Rangers to win the Cup, and for me to lose a free pool on nhl.com.   It's going to be hard to win the BSBH pool group when the Rangers win the Cup.  

It forced me to choose inferior (and likely losing!) choices.
