Long live the King
A. Will Brown's statue be from before or after the striped him of the C. B. Will Kopitar, Doughty, and Quick get statues too. C. If they built one statue of all four after the last one retired I think that would be acceptable.

The Dude
Ridiculous. This is what they're trying to do to sell tickets? Probably get less of a draw. A fucking STATUE!?!?
Phil
The statue is the bridge too far for me. I just don't get it. Good player. Key player for their Cups, but to immortalize the same player you stripped the captaincy from and nearly traded twice? Just feels like too high an honor for a good, not great player. If the Rangers won two Cups, would we be walking past a Ryan Callahan statue to go into the Garden most nights? Seriously?

That's why I'd be fine if they did a group statue of the "core 4" that brought the kings cups after 40 years of existence, but not a solo statue for any of them.
Phil
It's that it's a fuckin' statue. Like, just put a plaque on the wall or something. Add a mural. These aren't players worthy of being immortalized to me.

Sharpshooter
A number retirement is fine. A long time player and a big part of their success. I've always liked Dustin Brown. In fact, I wanted the Rangers to draft him that year. You don't necessarily need to be a Legend to be up in the rafters? But a statue? Yeah, no.
