siddious
Same price as trochek shorter term. Must have been a style of play choice.
Valriera
Clearly this was about wanting trochek and not the $$. Bold, Drury.
Cash or Czech
I think Detroit are going to be sorely disappointed. Only had an offensive burst when playing with a top-5 winger in the NHL, which Detroit doesn't have. He's not physical, even in the playoffs. A real middle-6 tweener and a nice complimentary player. Thanks for the help this year, good luck to you. Edited July 13, 2022 by Cash or Czech
Ozzy
Cooper went from Gold to Red! Good luck Copper...Thanks for the ride! Wish him the best, but he wasn't the answer here in NY
Sod16
Interesting that he ends up getting more than Strome. When he arrived, it was speculated that he might be more attractive than Strome because he would be cheaper.

His performance down the run and in the playoffs probably bought him an extra $0.75-1 million AAV.

He owes Drury and Galant a huge thank you note for that contract for trading for him and then for putting him on Panarin's off wing.

One in game one, one in game six. He disappeared when it mattered most.

Right when Panarin disappeared, because he was a passenger who reaped the rewards of playing with a top-5 LW.

For sure, but when you're a middle of the range (i.e. $4-6 million range) free agent going to the market, his overall body of work with the Rangers definitely elevated his expected salary demand and his agent appears to have done his job there. Guess if he produced vs Tampa his price tag would’ve been $7M per and Drury probably would’ve fought hard to keep him
