I don’t think Copp is worse than like 5 or 6 players ahead of him, yet you -1 him below our 3D Schneider the other day. Shrug. And I totally agree on Vatrano making it up too high on the list btw. Guess others might not. Nobody is ever going to agree on every slotting.

Phil
We are. I'm just saying, Vatrano that high up makes some sense. He's probably a little too high, but it's pretty easy to argue that he's ahead of guys like Goodrow given his play of late.

Goodrow has produced 25 points in 65 games. https://www.nhl.com/rangers/stats Vatrano has produced 25 points in 57 games, but 6 points in 8 games with the Rangers. https://www.nhl.com/player/frank-vatrano-8478366 Vatrano is the hotter player so I'd rank him higher than Goodrow. Based on his season performance, he's in the right range. He shouldn't be up by Panarin or down by Hunt. And I'm not dropping him like a stone in your scenario because he is properly slotted in the right range. josh
Vatrano’s rank is fine, albeit inflated. I’d be careful about moving Strome down too far. He’s moved down significantly without playing. He’s close to the drop off cliff which is now at 15.

Agree, but he (Strome) was too high based on recent play before injury in combination with other players playing extremely well. He can earn his way back up like everyone else who goes through a slump has to.
BrooksBurner
18 minutes ago, Pete said: Your contributions over a handful of games don't trump some of guys who have been here all year, IMO. It's subjective, but for me it's not just about how long they've been here. What players have done in other stops prior to this to give confidence the play will continue matters. If Motte scores 4 or 5 points in the next 3 games, based on track record it's much more likely to be a major hot streak than if a guy like Copp does it. I wouldn't move Motte up much further on this board even with that production. Maybe a couple of spots at the most, and it's probably temporary. If Copp does it, track record says he is a pretty good player and could be more confidently moved up past some of the guys currently ahead of him, and chances are it wouldn't be as temporary. JMO FWIW I think Vatrano's appearance this far up the boards is pretty temporary, but I really hope he proves me wrong and keeps it up. He's got a great shot so I can see the allure of moving him up on a team where so many guys are reluctant to shoot. It's refreshing.

I mean, you can vote that way, but others will vote as they see fit. The way this thread was designed, it's a power rankings, so it's kind of up to you which you think is more important — what you've done, or what you've done for me lately. The fact we drop players based on single game performances tells me that it's entirely appropriate to plus them for the same.
