The announcement comes just a few weeks after the NHL approved the practice, the second “big four” league to do so. Beginning with the 2022-23 NHL season, the Capitals will wear a Caesars Sportsbook patch on the upper right corner of their home and third jerseys, allowing it to be seen on-ice during every home game the Caps play at Capital One Arena. You're going to need a hermetically sealed environment to protect them from being exposed to gambling (which is on a legalizing trajectory in many states), alcohol, sex, and other facets of everyday life you potentially object to. An ad for the Caesar's Sportsbook is such a small thing and I have a hard time believing it can lead to some sort of gambling addiction down the road.
