This was a judicious decision from general manager Chris Drury, who is confronting a cap squeeze of considerable proportions for 2022-23. He seems to be doing the same thing with trades (Eichel). Gives me hope he isn't going to budge there and overpay if a deal happens. It seems unlikely this came down to a term issue after they just gave Goodrow 6 years. They must have felt uncomfortable with the AAV. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
