Wow really? Call me nuts, but Messier doesn’t strike me as a great analyst. He’s done it before and it wasn’t all too pretty from what I can remember.

He's really desperate to get his name and personality back there to get himself a job in the league doing something else. Like Gretzky, I don't see this being a good fit at all. Hopefully they at least name good in-game play-by-play and analyst people.
