Ozzy Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 A salute to one of the NHL's classiest players, and well deserving of an amazing accomplishment! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A5zMrkS0SE.
Sharpshooter Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 He definitely hung on a bit too long, but it's still great to see.
Dunny Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 If you're 6'2 220 lbs, and never go in to a corner once, you too, could play forever and win nothing. 1

Phil Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Link: Who else remembers how signing Shattenkirk stopped Marleau and Thornton from becoming Rangers? Never forget.
LindG1000 Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 He definitely hung on a bit too long, but it's still great to see. He really hasn't though. This is the first year he's been below replacement level. He also lost something like 120 games in his career to fucking lockouts, which makes this even more insane.

I kind of thought he was pretty much finished a couple of years ago at least, 'replacement level' and analytics aside. Having said, he wasn't really awful, just washed is all.

paddynyc Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Congratulation and now job by Vegas. I was never a big Marleau fan.
ThirtyONE Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Link: Who else remembers how signing Shattenkirk stopped Marleau and Thornton from becoming Rangers? Never forget. to be fair, the Rangers were hanging on one year too long. That team was done. Marleau and Thornton would have been traded anyway.
