2) What was it like growing up there? I left when i was 14, my personal memories are good. I went back few years ago and it felt so weird, like another lifetime.

 

3) How did you make your first Million? Russian mail order brides, of course.

 

4) Favourite vacation spot I should take my wife when she earns it? Maldives were super nice. But my favorite is Paris.

 

5) How much per year do you spend on kids hockey? I dont know. Not as much anymore. Probably around 8K-10K. Used to be much more with all the private lessons.

-what do you miss most about home? Nothing. I hardly remember it. I’ve been here for over 30 years, Russia is no longer home.

 

-how did you get into hockey? We’ve played some street hockey when i was young. I got into NHL when i moved to Brooklyn in 89 and they would show the Rangers games on channel 9. There was no soccer in america, so hockey became my sport

Wow. Yeah, that place was a lot of fun. So many great personalities, a few of which I still keep in touch with, on here or otherwise. I was a pretty young hockey fan at the time, so all of you were really my first foray into hockey discussion as I was really getting the sport full bore then. I think that was both good and bad. LOL Even though there were a lot of bad teams during those years, it was never dull. I can only imagine what that place would have been like during the Lundqvist Era where the team was a perennial contender. But, it's nice to see a few others from that board migrate over to the newer ones that have opened up with We Bleed Blue and now here.
