Sharpshooter
Emilio Estevez will not be returning to the show for the second season. Josh Duhamel is taking his place. https://www.imdb.com/news/ni63511900?ref_=nwc_sb_nwc_li

Phil
"Taking his place," had me scared they re-cast Bombay. That's not the case. He's going to be introduced as a new male lead character, which is good. Was hoping they could land Joshua Jackson to reprise Conway, but this is fine. Sharpshooter
They just posted a new article about it. lol The initial link there to IMDB sounded like it was a recasting, so I'm glad it's not going to be that after all.
Phil
Yeah, HR has a good update on it: Quote Josh Duhamel has joined the cast of The Mighty Ducks TV sequel series. The actor fills the void created by the departure of Emilio Estevez and will play a new character in the second season of the series. Duhamel will portray Gavin Cole, a former NHL player turned coach who is described as inspirational, charming and hardcore as he is big on the hockey metaphor that applies to life. He runs the super-intense summer hockey institute where the Mighty Ducks land for season two. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/mighty-ducks-josh-duhamel-replaces-emilio-estevez-game-changers-1235079996/

siddious
I’ll only watch if they say Bombay died from Covid. 2

Sharpshooter
Next week! Yes! I'm looking forward to it. This show is basically Cobra Kai for me, but hockey. lol
Phil
Honestly, it's fine without Bombay. This is a pretty good season so far. Kids are growing up fast.
