Keirik Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Mets second baseman Robinson Can? has tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug Stanozolol and will be suspended for the entire 2021 season. "The violation is very unfortunate for him, the organization, our fans, and the sport," team president Sandy Alderson said in a statement. "The Mets fully support MLB's efforts toward eliminating performance-enhancing substances from the game." Can? had previously been suspended 80 games in 2018 for violating MLB's drug agreement policy. He will forfeit his $24 million salary for the 2021 season. https://theathletic.com/news/mets-robinson-cano-positive-stanozolol-suspended-2021-season/jVfHeXWvxVCS
Scott Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 guy has throw away 36M so far now in two suspensions. Brilliant. Still two more years left on this current deal after this suspension expires. You would think there would be a way for the Mets to get out from underneath the remaining two years should they choose to do so without having to pay the full boat for the two time screw up.
Sharpshooter Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 At least they get $20 million to spend, but holy crap this guy isn't too bright. First he leaves the Yankees to go to Seattle and now two PED suspensions. He did have a good bounceback season for them this year (yes, I know, short season).
Keirik Posted November 20, 2020 Author Posted November 20, 2020 He did have a good bounceback season for them this year (yes, I know, short season). It’s easier to have a bounce back season on the juice I hear lol

4EverRangerFrank Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Figure out a way to say "bye" and get younger at that position likely saving a lot more money too.
paddynyc Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Thank you Robinson and now retire. I wish, but he's not going to leave $48 M on the table and I don't know how the Mets could get out of this. I'm sure if there was language in his contract about steroids the Mariners would've acted on it.
Sharpshooter Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 By not staying in New York, or at the very least not doing PEDs several times, he basically ruined his chance at the Hall of Fame. Sad.
Keirik Posted November 23, 2020 Author Posted November 23, 2020 By not staying in New York, or at the very least not doing PEDs several times, he basically ruined his chance at the Hall of Fame. Sad. Definitely, especially after this second one. First one was for a diuretic I think so he could have gotten sympathy as in not knowing. This one is pure performance enhancing related.

He probably would of never gotten the contract if it weren't for PED ,so he is still.way ahead of the game ,probably the only way he can hit over the Mendoza line is taking PED
lefty9 Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Yankees better watch the Mets don't steal DJ away
