That's a pretty spectacular knee jerk reaction immediately after they lose their first away game in 9 games.

But there is some truth to the idea that the results have been better than the performances.

To me it’s early to say good team.

I know it’s odd to say that, 60 games into the season, but I want to see how they play now in the midst of their first stretch of sustained quality play, in a difficult stretch against good teams in really meaningful games.

Last night vs Flyers isn’t encouraging. But at least they’re still right there.

Tomorrow afternoon is big. Response is crucial.

 

They still look like an average team with not the best forward depth, lots of youth, and poor team D, that’s been buoyed by a handful of very good to elite players and good goaltending.

They’ve stolen a lot of games on the back of those 2 things

 

But a strong stretch run would say a lot, even if they didn’t qualify for the postseason.
