Kevin
It's going to be fun to root for this team to win again next season...
4EverRangerFrank
@Kevin - I guess it depends on how we shape up. I?d hate to sit through another one of these seasons but geez, what?s the alternative? Hope Gorton has some magic up his sleeves and that the hockey gods look favorably upon us. SaveByRichter35
It's going to be fun to root for this team to win again next season... Seriously. I hate watching them and rooting for them to lose. It breaks me inside lol.
CBrowningPI
What a shitty effort by both teams. Did you see all those empty seats. This was a going through the motions game with no e-motion. The refs sucked AGAIN. Go Tampa!
Ozzy
Seriously. I hate watching them and rooting for them to lose. It breaks me inside lol. Yup, I feel this 100% my man! I did it this year with my Raiders and now with the Rangers. How many days until I can actually root for Aaron Judge??? Seriously, I feel like I haven't actually rooted FOR one of my teams in about a year! I keep rooting for the trade deadline!
LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN
Simply put: Putrid effort @ home against a team that had lost 5 straight, 2 by shut outs.
Phil
It's going to be fun to root for this team to win again next season... Is it? They're probably going to be just as bad.
Vodka Drunkenski
I think he means not rooting to tank like this year.
Blue Heaven
Is it? They're probably going to be just as bad. From what I have read next year will be a much much deeper draft than this year so it might be better off to be bad next year. Phil
I think he means not rooting to tank like this year. Why not, though? They're probably going to be just as bad. Kreider, Vesey, and Fast as UFA rentals (if they're not traded at the draft or the coming deadline).

Phil
I suppose not, but based on even a conservative estimate of what they might do, I don't envision a tremendous step forward occurring.
BrooksBurner
I did at first wonder if they couldn't turn this around very shortly (i.e., by next year), but they can't fix the defense in one offseason. It's going to take a couple of more years, minimum.
Future
They could be pretty close to this bad next year and still make the playoffs. It's not like the East is going to get much better.
Kevin
Is it? They're probably going to be just as bad. I hope not! It's just a drag being ambivalent at this point. Going through most of last year, all of this year, and maybe next year rooting against my team? Kind of sucks! I'll be 44 soon...not sure how many more years I have left in me!!! I mean, project outward. What kind of dramatic improvement is going to occur in a single offseason that doesn't hinge on the unlikely breakout of someone like Chytil or DeAngelo or whomever as a superstar? The team is waiting out the real reinforcements for probably another season, minimum.
