Blue Heaven
:tweet: @DarrenDreger Statement from Joe Resnick of Top Shelf Sports Management Inc. on behalf of his client Rick Nash Due to unresolved issues/symptoms from the concussion sustained last March, Rick will be forced to retire from the game of hockey. Under the advice of his medical team, the risk of further brain injury is far too great if Rick returns to play. Rick would like to thank everyone who has supported him during this difficult time period.

RodrigueGabriel
Feel much better that he's making this step. Can't discount how the concussions played into the last couple of years. At his best, he was dominant. Not too many can say that.

4EverRangerFrank
I'm glad that he wore a Rangers jersey. Class guy who gave 110% every shift and mostly effective too. Was never our Jesus savior like many of us hoped but maybe that was just unrealistic all along IDK. Enjoy retirement and glad to see you left with your wits intact. #boogard

Karan
Unfortunately he'll probably be remembered for unfulfilled potential as a Ranger, especially in the playoffs. But a class act of a player both on and off the ice, especially for Team Canada. Some good memories from watching him play.
LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN
Bye Bye As Captain, whined his way out of Columbus because he didn't want to partake in a rebuild. Mis-named a power forward that played on the perimeter on many, many occasions. Play-off failure. Over-rated and surely overpaid - made in excess of $100,000,000.00 in his career. Will he make the HOF? Too bad that health issues forced him out.

siddious
His career really went south when I changed my user name to "so nashty"... sorry dude. but this is def. the right move.. no point in risking your health especially when you consider how he was a shell of his former self the last 2 seasons or so.
