Phil Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Say it's so: Weezer will perform at the NHL Winter Classic. The Grammy-winning Los Angeles rockers are set to take the stage at Notre Dame Stadium during the first intermission of the league's showcase New Year's Day event, which this time around features the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins on an outdoor rink. As is customary, the teams will sport new sweaters for the special occasion, so surely Weezer ? comprised of Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell and Scott Shriner ? will break out "Undone (The Sweater Song)" during their set in South Bend, Indiana. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weezer-perform-at-nhl-winter-classic-new-years-day-1168827 Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Sent from my Z981 using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk I dunno. I think this one's a good selection. They're a wildly popular band with plenty of hits.
Pete Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 I dunno. I think this one's a good selection. They're a wildly popular band with plenty of hits.This. And caters to audience.
phillyb Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 South Bend, Indiana...say it ain't so...maybe I'll go. Good choice.
Phil Posted December 13, 2018 Author Posted December 13, 2018 Let's get the opinions of more 30-ish white males, please.
Future Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 As a white male who is exactly 30...Wheezer sucks. What year is this? New Found Glory playing next year? Dashboard Confessional? They are milquetoast enough that they won't offend anyone though.
LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Wheezer, Geezer, Freezer, Beezer; Yet another step-down for the hype crazy NHL. http://rs221.pbsrc.com/albums/dd229/ms-goodies/glitters/NHL/new-york-rangers.gif~c200
Pete Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Weezer has a #1 song on Billboard this year LOL. They are absolutely relevant.
Dunny Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 It's an improvement over Kid Rock or Snoop Dogg
Future Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Weezer has a #1 song on Billboard this year LOL. They are absolutely relevant. Yea, covering a song that was released almost 40 years ago lol.
Pete Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Yea, covering a song that was released almost 40 years ago lol. OK, still doesn't change the fact that they're relevant.
Dunny Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 It's an awful cover, too. Just play the Blue album start to finish.
Dunny Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Wow, you must really crank up Richard Marx when it comes on the radio, 90's dad.
Pete Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 I don't even know who that is, but Toto is the shit and so is Weezer. Don't be bitchy cuz your country littered the world with Drake.
ThirtyONE Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Considering a large portion of the NHL's demographic is 30 year old males from the suburbs, I think it's a good call to have some music that people will actually want to hear. Unless you'd rather hear Five For Fighting again ("hey did you know they're hockey fans?!") or fucking Snoop Dog or Drake. I always thought the rap selections were just pandering to a demographic which the NHL doesn't have.
Dunny Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 I vote Marty Robbins. I don't think he's alive, though.
NY Chief Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 I like Cher I did, too as a kid. :-P Until she opened her lib mouth
NY Chief Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Considering a large portion of the NHL's demographic is 30 year old males from the suburbs, That's interesting. Any actual data on the fan base demographic? I'd love to see that
ThirtyONE Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 That's interesting. Any actual data on the fan base demographic? I'd love to see that Just my perception. It's expensive to play and attend so therefor the kids that become fans are generally a very specific type of demographic.
