9.85 M per for a 75-80 point player sounds like a pretty good deal for both sides, but I think Dallas is getting him for less than open market that's for sure. Look at what John Tavares just got.

He signed for less than he would in the open market, I'd expect 11 to 12 for him. Once Karlsson was off the table they got this done and he took a discount to keep what they have together
