6 weeks? its a break

Yeah, I'd imagine so. Gonna be a lot of work to get back to excellent skating ability.

A break might actually be easier to recover from than, say, a high ankle sprain. Those things could linger all year.

I was at the game in Detroit when this happened. I had been remarking to my friend, who's son is also a centerman on my son's team, about how freaking smart Schwartz is as a player. Always in the right spot and always looking a move ahead. Then bam, he blocks a pretty mild looking shot, and he's getting helped off the ice. He's having a great season and was having a very good game at the time. Hockey is just unfair at times.
