Giacomin
This is very good, especially after also getting suspended for 2 games for interference, earlier this preseason. Now he is considered a repeat offender and will get longer discipline. This is the guy (big, strong, mean, reckless and fast) most likely to injure other players. Particularly our guys, given how often we play the rival Caps. Now both he and Gudas will have to tamp down their reckless aggression or they will sit games, in bunches. phillyb
I feel like this was a great opportunity to make an example out of someone. I know it's preseason, but it's embarrassing to see a repeat offender in a manner of two weeks. It really goes to show that the suspensions aren't preventing players from performing the acts the league is trying to remove from the game. Should have given him 25 or 41 or something. Kevin
I've seen worse hits then this but the hit was unnecessary. He could have let up, targeted the hands, or made an attempt to play the puck, all of which would have been better options than run through the guy's back.
