Phil
:tweet: @DhaliwalSports: Hearing Red Wings RFA F Andreas Athanasiou could be signing in Russia soon. Talks with Red Wings going nowhere. -- If ever you wanted proof that NHL GMs are a tight knit group of like-minded managers who are more concerned with maintaining friendships than building strong teams, it's this. Future
What does one of those things have to do with the other?
Costa
Gorton, SIGN THIS GUY. Yes he's an RFA but Detroit has NO PLANS TO SIGN HIM. He was making 650k last season. Can't hurt to sign him for a cool mil and give Detroit a draft pick and/or a mid level prospect.
High and Wide
What exactly went down that Detroit doesn't want to touch him? Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Future
Two words. Offer. Sheet. This is a reach lol Guy is 23 and has had one decent season. Why would anyone be chomping at the bit to get him, especially when it would probably cost a second rounder?

Why would anyone be chomping at the bit to get him, especially when it would probably cost a second rounder? And he's fast as hell. What is so back-breaking about the idea of offering him a one- or two-year deal worth between $1,295,571 and $1,962,968? The cost of that is a third-round pick. josh
Have to imagine that gets matched. I have little interest in him
Phil
By a Red Wings team that is already over the cap by $3M? I doubt it. Regardless, isn't that the point of being a good GM? Even if they match, force them to.
