NYRangers92 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Figured the new cast should get its own thread since they add characters every year. And they just announced the casting of Oberyn Martell. Chilean actor Pedro Pascal. I guess theyll be going with a Spanish/South American interpretation of the Dornish. I pictured them more arabic, but I guess this also makes sense. http://img2.timeinc.net/ew/i/2013/06/28/Pedro-Pascal.jpg http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/06/28/thrones-red-viper-oberyn/
NYRangers92 Posted June 29, 2013 Author Posted June 29, 2013 i cant find any clips of the guy but hes had a part in pretty much every network procedural under the sun haha. Throw a wig on this guy and hopefully hes good to go, as long as he has the charisma
High and Wide Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 'Game of Thrones' casts 'Sherlock' actor in season 4 -- EXCLUSIVE http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/07/17/game-of-thrones-sherlock/ Mark Gatiss will appear in the fourth season of HBO’s Thrones. The British writer-producer-actor has written Doctor Who novels and episodes of the BBC cult classic, as well as acted on the long-running series (since 2007, he’s credited to three different roles on IMDB). In addition, Gatiss is the co-creator and co-star of another Brit-based favorite, Sherlock, where he plays Holmes’ dryly mysterious brother Mycroft. Now he’s booked on HBO’s fantasy hit next year. Well, that’s something we cannot reveal. The Thrones team is keeping Gatiss’ role quiet. Maybe showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss will say more at their Comic-Con panel on Friday? Also, Sherlock is making its first-ever SDCC panel appearance on Thursday (I’m moderating) so maybe Gatiss will spill something then. EW.com will bring you full coverage of both events, plus we will stream our own interviews with the Thrones and Sherlock producers on the EW.com homepage. I wonder who...
H-Dreamer Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 He's very good in "Sherlock" (love that series by the way), but I wonder which male character they could introduce and has to remain a secret.
NYRangers92 Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 hes said hes already filmed some stuff. My guess is Mace Tyrell or Styr. But neither of those seem worthy of being kept a secret since theyve previously stated both of those roles would be cast. So the only secret role that makes sense to keep a secret is Coldhands.

But neither of those seem worthy of being kept a secret since theyve previously stated both of those roles would be cast. So the only secret role that makes sense to keep a secret is Coldhands. Which would immediately dispel the theory that Coldhands is Benjin, if they plan on showing his face at all.
NYRangers92 Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 true. I dont think hes Benjen anyway. Doesnt really add up
NYRangers92 Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 well they just cast a child. Probably wont have a significant role since I dont think there is one, via WinterIsComing. Name is Brennock O'Connor http://winteriscoming.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Brenock-OConnor.jpg speaking of small people being cast, I wonder if theyll cast Penny/Groat or if their pivotal scene will be different
NYRangers92 Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 and now we have our Ellaria Sand. Actress Indira Varma, another "Rome" alum http://content6.flixster.com/photo/92/74/28/9274284_ori.jpg
NYRangers92 Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 and now we have our Mace Tyrell, who will be played by Roger Ashton-Griffiths http://winteriscoming.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/roger-ashton-griffiths.jpg lots of awesome actors in the King's Landing storyline. Gonna be great.

NYRangers92 Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 So we're getting two characters from Feast that I didnt think would make it in season 4... Mark Gattis's secretive role is confirmed to be Tycho Nestoris, the Braavosi banker and English actor Rupert Vansittar is playing Bronze Yohn Royce, a Vale bannerman also Thor Bjornsson is playing The Mountain this season furthermore: Walda Frey was cast (Roose Bolton's wife)
High and Wide Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Sigor Ros has been cast for an unknown role http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/09/10/game-of-thrones-sigur-ros/
High and Wide Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Possibly a re-cast Tommen Baratheon. Update on that, Tommen has been re-cast but he's Dean Charles-Chapman http://www.crushable.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Dean-Charles-Chapman-headshot.jpg http://www.crushable.com/2013/08/20/entertainment/game-of-thrones-season-4-casting-tommen-baratheon-dean-charles-chapman/?utm_source=outbrain&utm_medium=mst
NYRangers92 Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 also some dwarf and short-actor agency tweeted about 4 of their actors being cast. Could be a combo of stunt actors for Dinklage and the jousting during the PW. Judging from set pics the PW is going to be as insanely extravagant and enormous as it's described.

High and Wide Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 http://www.avclub.com/articles/another-character-cast-in-game-of-thrones-whose-pr,104527/ Anyway, now that everyone is on the same page, we can talk about how British actor Struan Rodger will play Lord Brynden Rivers—otherwise known as Bloodraven, otherwise known as the “three-eyed crow” that Bran Stark seeks north of the Wall, in between all the Hodoring. Brynden’s appearance in the fourth season may come as something of a surprise to readers, seeing as he isn’t even in the A Song Of Ice And Fire series until the fifth book. Very exciting if true.

LindG1000 Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 That bard at the Eyrie maybe? What was his name again? Marillion?
High and Wide Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 For those of us who have been textually inclined, it really shouldn't be SO surprising. Not much going on there. That is unless they stray from the path a bit.
