SaveByRichter35
I'm sorry I'm posting this so late but I just caught it myself. I've seen pretty much every show that has anything to do with the '94 Rangers and I'm sure, like for many of you, that it never gets old. However, I have yet to see this one. Checking the info on the show it says it first aired in 2012 so it is fairly new. I do not know when its original airtime was though. It's over in 20 minutes but for anyone who wants to check it out it will be airing again on the NHL Network on Thursday morning at 9:30 and again Sunday afternoon at 4:30. Just wanted to put the info out there in case anyone else wanted to get all nostalgic again haha.

From what I remember, this premiered on the NHL network about the time the Rangers were playing the Caps in the ECSF. They did a good job with it. Still sends chills down your spine. SaveByRichter35
Eh, that would be why I never saw it. I was in Toronto at the time for a CAN/AM tournament. The only TV we watched were the games themselves from the bar at the rink and at Gretzky's(awesome food and a lot of hot waitresses by the way:thumbs: )
SaveByRichter35
And yes, it never gets old. I get goosebumps every time I see anything that has to do with 1994.
Revolution Rock
From what I remember, it seemed like most of the show was focused on the Devils series and the Canucks were just sort of glanced over. Nevertheless, a good watch. It really takes you back to the 90's.
SaveByRichter35
There was about 40 mins on the regular season, 5 on the first two rounds, 40 on the conference finals and 35 on the finals.
Slobberknocker
i dont know if it was shown before but was the first time i watched it. it was way cool to relive that year. it had some good input from long time fans even the ''now i can die in peace family''. i was camping in the delaware water gap for the game 7 devils game, and listened to that game on the radio around the campfire. good memories. Slobberknocker
so well done. those two brothers were hysterical. even finding that one sonny bono guy on the street in 94 and wheeling him out. the other thing i found interesting was the guy who called cosbie on the day of the trade deadline with the chief tipping him off that amonte was traded. i remembered the chief from the days when i had season tickets but didnt realize he worked at cosbies. i just came away from it admiring the passionate fan base this team possesses. i guess its why i'm liking this board so much. Cant wait to get back to the season and seeing the game by game dissection that goes on.

SaveByRichter35
Yea, it was well put together piece. That was one of the few 94 documentaries that I had not seen yet. It was cool that they touched base with so many people all these years later. Esp the Now I Can Die In Peace guys and the lucky bullet guy. I remember him from the Oh Baby! movie. One of my favorite parts was about the parade. I was in fourth grade in 1994 so I don't remember everything. In all honesty, the majority of my memories from 94 was from watching Oh Baby! so much when I was younger. I used to watch it as a pregame ritual in middle/high school. I probably did it before every game from freshman puck all the way up to Varsity puck haha. Anyways, back on topic...I never got to go to the parade or even watch the parade. My first parade was the 96 Yankee parade. Not sure why pops didn't think to take me to the Rangers two years earlier. If only I could make a flux capacitor haha. So seeing a lot of the details about that 94 parade was definitely one of my favorite part of that show. That was awesome how they got Sam and JD down to City Hall with the police escort. SaveByRichter35
That last icing call with 1.1 seconds left in the game(prior to adding the extra .5 second) really pisses me off. It totally ruined the climax of that moment. Watching the eruption after the clock ran out and then rewinding to the eruption as Larmer cleared the zone before that icing call; it just doesn't compare. I know a lot can happen in 1.6 seconds as a goalie I have personally experienced that but come on. The linesman should have waved off the icing and let the celebration commence from there. Eh, I know I'm being picky about a moment that happen almost 20 years ago but its the principle!! haha
