siddious
Captain America looks really scrawny compared to the C A movie. Not that I care but just an observation. Looks good.

Phil
Renner and RDJ saved that cast. I'll check it out, I'm sure, but I'm still pissed off that Nick Fury was given to Samuel L. Jackson. That guy is the most overrated actor in Hollywood, IMO. I call him Angry L. Jackson. He has no depth to any of his characters. All he can do is play angry/jaded/racist. torontonyr
I wish justice league would get this treatment. At least Nolans bataman movies > all comic book movies.

It's a typecast, sure, but you need a very abrasive personality to make that role work, one that also hints of intelligence. Samuel might be an easy cast, but he isn't dumb and doesn't sound dumb when he speaks. I think they could've done a lot worse then him for Fury, + he pulls off the badass comic book character look. Meh — does Fury no justice. SLJ has awkward anger. He raises his voice in really weird ways, similar to Nick Cage. I just don't like it.

Phil
Sorry man — I just really hate SLJ. I don't hate him as much as I hate Dane Cook or Nick Cage, but he is the most overrated actor in Hollywood to me. I just hate seeing him in this gig.

Pete
Escape from LA, that soldier flick where he was being hunted by the "newer" models...All would go in line with Nick Fury.
Phil
Russel can flat out act, and he can play that rogue militaristic style to a tee. He'd have been great as Fury.

If they went with the original concept of Fury yeah Russell works beautifully.
Phil
Other options that'd have been a thousand times better than Jackson as Fury: • Gary Sinise • Bruce Willis • Dennis Quaid • Viggo Mortensen

Mentosman42
To explain the Samuel L. Jackson casting not that I agree with the move, in the early 2000's marvel did an "ultimate" series and for the series the author made "Ultimate Nick Fury" look exactly like SLJ. No idea why but its literally him. http://marvel.com/universe/Fury,_Nick_(Ultimate) http://i.annihil.us/u/prod/marvel//universe3zx/images/thumb/d/df/Furyult.jpg/406px-Furyult.jpg

Mentosman42
It was actually done without his permission, had to look up the specifics but according to wikipedia "It was only after seeing the redesigned Nick Fury in the first issue of The Ultimates that Samuel L. Jackson learned of the use of his likeness and contacted Marvel in order to secure the role of Nick Fury in any future Marvel movies."
