Drury is in a tough spot because this year we are still in contender mode with a vezina caliber goalie in his prime. So he kinda has no choice but to keep it together and fill in pieces as needed and hope we can raise the cup. JD/Gorton had the luxury of “the letter”, which basically gave the approval to blow everything up, retool and rebuild. If we bomb this year and Kakko/Laf/Miller make no progress I am honestly fine with admitting we peaked, unload whatever we can and try a proper rebuild.

Mercogliano Rangers Sign Mac Hollowell to 1-year Deal
Butcher Icebone replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
I just got a contract sent to me for $800k, looks like everyone is getting one. -
I don’t think I am mentally ready for our potential impending collapse. Small sad rant. We wasted so many years of Hank and I’m getting depressed thinking we are about to waste Igor’s best years. We are about to enter cap hell. Our 1st and 2nd overall picks havent made a dent. $12 million dollars on Panarin who doesnt try in the playoffs. Retread coach hire. Slim prospect pool besides Othmann. Jack and Luke Hughes about to explode across the river. They will 100% acquire Quinn in a few years as well. If not sooner. That team is going to friggin rip soon. Maybe I am just getting fan depressed but I am honestly dreading the next 5 years or more as a Ranger fan. Can anyone inject some hope and talk me off the hockey ledge?

I really believe the Devils are cup bound, now have Luke Hughes looking like an NHL vet right out of the gate and will most likely trade for Quinn within a year or two. They are going to fuck the east for the next 5-10 years. But we have Kakko and Laff so…. yeah. Anger. Maybe hockey isnt for me anymore.

Just when I thought I was over the elimination today I had a random thought. All because of the way a ping pong ball decided to fall we missed out on a generational center in Jack Hughes. Ill be honest, I hate Kakko and Laf. They suck. Laf looks like a beer league guy and all I hear about Kakko is “he is great along the boards” Fuck that. I am re-angry again.

Nobody is coming. See you all in October.

We will win. We will advance. This is merely a smack from being over confident. We have been humbled. Kick it into over drive boys. -

Yall are way too confident. Devs are going to smoke us. I hate to say it. They have perpetually owned the Rangers for most of their history. I dont think this ends well honestly. Especially with Panarins turnovers, the Devs speed eat those for breakfast. -
at the risk of sounding too jealous and petty, our team struggling would be a lot more easy to digest if the devils didn’t become so damn good since last season. Jack and Nico are going to be an amazing 1-2 center punch for the next 15 years, on top of Mercer and now Meier. I guess I really just want to see the Rangers moves pay off with a cup before the Devs, but deep down in my gut, I know the devils are going to win one before we ever do again. I’m sorry for the rant. I don’t know why this is bringing me down so much hockywise. Oh well.

So sad about Edge geez :( easily one of my favorite wrestlers over the years. His stuff with Christian was classic as well. Cheers to you Edge and thank you for literally giving your body up to us fans. Stay well! And Scott Hall... what a fall from grace. Razor Ramon was my favorite WWF wrestler when I was younger. Very sad to see him in his current condition, he was a pure stud back in the day http://starsmedia.ign.com/stars/image/article/917/917292/19_Razor_Ramon_1223441640.jpg -

I liked it. There's just alot of guys I'd rather be seeing I guess. I like Hulk, Sting, and Bischoff in small doses and all, but I prefer to leave WCW 2000 in the year 2000
