SWEAR i can't watch Basketball sometimes, every little fuking touch is a foul.Just give the Heat the series with some of these shitty calls. You can't look at Wade or james the wrong way or its a foul.
yea it is kind of a joke, although Game 1 the C's deserved to lose based on how they played- but they have actually played a stronger game today but....

Or at least some of the guys I also used to post with. Nice, one more board to reduce my boredom until I find work or the new season starts.

Not much. Bit of a summer cold coming on. Sucks.
Spent the day out at Coney Island with my girl and two of our closest friends yesterday. By about 2am I was dying for water, eyes burning, coughing, etc.
Hate being sick.
Summer colds are the WORST
I know yesterday went for an almost 4 mile run and it seemed to be national grass cutting day. Which isn't good when you're highly allergic to freshly cut grass, lol. Thankfully I wasn't in the area each time long enough to get much more than an itchy throat lol

I've been a fan all my life, this is the third season in a row we are in this position. To be honest, this ain't good for my heart, but this is the first team I ever rooted for, Fortuna Sittard is and will always be my first love in sports. Losing the team over the summer... I would be devastated. Fingers crossed we get away again, but I fear our luck is going to run out at some point. Than again, being called after Fortuna a.k.a. Lady Luck... well, who knows?
I'll cross mine for ya too Jules!

We are now tied with one team, 1 point ahead of another team.
If we win next week (chances are slim, they are playing against the team that will likely become the league champion that day) we are immediately safe. If we play for a draw, we relegate if both other teams win. If one of them plays for a draw too, we survive. If we lose by 1-0 or 2-0, and one of the other teams loses or one of them plays for a draw, we survive too. In all; we have a lot of outs, but relegation is still a very real option. Relegation likely means the end of the franchise, as a major part of the annual budget comes from sponsors and tv rights, linked to pro soccer. If they relegate, they fall to semi-pro, losing so much income, the team will have to fold.
that's NOT good

I am slowly dying... my soccer team is playing most important game in their history, probably. So nervous.
EDIT: 0-0 final score. Another agonizing and nervous week ahead of me.
what does the 0-0 result mean for them?
-
So...Greg lost a bet :)
yea surely waiting to see these pics

They made the playoffs this year and are in the Atlantic finals against Portland. With Jared Cowen and David Rundblad turning pro, they could be a much better team. Also, Robin Lehner is only 20 years old.
I think they have a legit shot of knocking off the Pirates, especially if Portland looks past them. They are coming off a HUGE game 7 road win and have had a pretty impressive season. Finished the season strong.
As for CT never going there, they usually play them once a season at home, then once on the road. The AHL bulks up the divisional games and regional rivals from other divisions, which doesn't leave many games for the other AHL teams
