Ugh......tough day for sure. No easier tomorrow. :(
I know what you are saying about the crying too.....I saw it on several occasions at my grandfathers wake/funeral this past December. The toughest part for me was the closing of the casket the morning of the mass and then walking away from the grave site and back to my car.
I'll be thinking of you and your family man. Take care.
So many sad stories of people losing parents and grandparents at relatively young ages :(
My mom has been fighting (cigarette induced) lung cancer since 2009. She's only 62.
Fuck smoking!
When our last golden retriever died, I was 21 and had that dog since I was 10. I was senior in college and when I found out the dog had died I cried in front of about 10 people. I was mess.
Yeah, it sucks. Granted I was living on my own when they got this dog, but my mom/dad/sister are so attatched........I can't imagine how miserable tomorrow will be for them driving to the vet. to have her put down. UGH.
(warning: following post is not positive)
Just found out my parents Golden Retriever (12 years old) has to be put down tomorrow as cancer was discovered in her liver. :(
Yeah, I went through this with my grandfather in December. Sort of brings back bad memories. Ugh....life doesn't get easier the older you get, that's for sure.
Just to put tonight's game in perspective.........win or lose it's only A GAME.
Just found out moments ago my neighbor passed away (he had been battling heart/lung problem the past few months). He was a great guy that I was happy to get to know over the past 7 years. To see his children and grandchildren crying outside his house is heartbreaking :( He loved being outdoors working in the yard (much like myself) so we ran into each other alot doing yardwork over the years. Even up until last week he was out putting mulch around his trees and shrubs with the help of an oxygen tank to breathe. It's going to be weird not seeing him outside in the weeks ahead as we head into summer.
Ugh....just found out my ex-boss died in a freak accident this evening. Only 50 years old.........goes to show how precious life is. :(
