Maybe the NHL came out with the scheduled time, 07:00PM, after you've checked. Both ESPN and NHL shows the scheduled time for 11th. That is the fourth game, after that the Rangers will have a couple of days off again before the ECF games begin... 😉

Yeah they came out with the Game 4 time like an hour after I posted the message

On to Game 2 - CAR going to bring their best and throw everything at the net. We can weather their wet fart storm. Our boys were good in Game 1 but not really clicking like we know they can. A long layoff can do that to your legs. Tuesday going to be a bum rush in a darkened Central Park for these tourists. Blow the 'Canes back where they belong - to the marshes of Carolina.

Win this next one and I give Shesty a rest Game 3. Our backup is a heartbreaker and ruins Cup dreams...don't we know.

    LFGR!

Quick is not playing unless Shesterkin is pulled or gets hurt.  Why would you rest Shesterkin with a 2-0 lead, we saw what happened vs. the Devils last season, and vs. Tampa Bay in the ECF when they blew 2-0 leads.  You go with your best every game.

The only Game 7's would be in the Western Conference in Dallas and Vancouver. Rangers play at 7, Dallas at 8, Vancouver at 10:30. There, I did it for you, NHL.

NHL / TV will not want 2 Game 7s played at the same time.  They want to try and maximize viewership.

Plus if both Western Conference series end tonight, they have more options for when ESPN/ABC/or TNT would want the time of the Rangers game to be played.

If 1 Western Conference team plays a Game 7, it would probably alter the time they want to play the Rangers game, do they want the game the Rangers game at 3 then lead into Vancouver or Vegas at 8:00?  Do they want Rangers at 1:00 and lead into Western Conference Game 7 at 5:00?

    It's got to be a 3PM start.   They'll start Preds-Nucks at 6 and VGK-Dal at 8/9.

A lot of fantastic points throughout this preview thread.    I picked NYR in 6.

Just have a great feeling for this series due to the progress of our youth.   Big plays coming from Laffy, KK, Cuylle, Scheids, Miller and even Jones.  Big Matty blows up Orlov, Tony D and Brady to whip crowd into a frenzy.  Our leaders mentor this group and then Trocheck, Mika, Goody and Wenny unleash a barrage of dynamic scoring lines unmatched by any team this year.  Four lines cranking together and nobody cares who scores or assists.   Hustle and heart win cups.   Just so happens we have both, plus a whole lot of  high-end talent.

My sleeper, Kaapo Kakko.  Clanging posts turn to shredding nylon.   Believe that !

Unless both series end tonight, then the Rangers game can be 1:00, 3:00, 7:00 or 8:00 PM

  5. Commercial breaks are first whistle after 6:00, 10:00, and 14:00, that is a non-icing whistle.  I got it down pat to run out for a pee break when I am at a game so I can get back before the face-off.

I couldn't recall if the NHL was in the habit of waiting until a round entirely completed before starting the next round.

Usually they do, but I do recall I think once or twice before (might have been last season or the season before) that they started one conference while the other conference was playing a game 7.

A Sunday start seems a bit premature as there's 3 Game 7s potentially happening. I would've expected a Monday start at the earliest.

All 3 possible game 7s would be in the Western Conference, wouldnt affect the Eastern Conference at all so the NHL/ABC/ESPN can get Game 1 of Rangers/Canes nationally.

Toronto/Bruins vs. Panthers can start their Game 1 on Monday (if Toronto/Boston goes to a Game 7 on Saturday).

Western Conference can start their Game 1s on Tuesday.

I think that's the problem right now. If Chytil's ready, who sits?

Our "competition" was Rempe and Roslovic, but Rempe sitting for Chytil probably bumps Cuylle down and breaks that line up. Not sure you want to do that. Roslovic had a point-a-game series against the Caps - you don't sit him after that.

    Yay, good problems?

Its easy, Chytil in, Rempe Out.  Verse the Canes you cant have a dude playing 5:00-6:00 minutes and pretty much 0:00 minutes in the 3rd period.  Canes are a fast team, they'll wear out the Rangers with their speed if you are shortening the bench.

As mentioned above, Chytil C 3rd line, Wennberg down to the 4th line, Goodrow moves to the wing.

my guess is if Chytil is going to see any ice time this post season, it is going to be in the second round if the rangers make it.  This series is too physical for Rempe to be scratched and he's having a definite impact so far.

Next round will just be as physical.

Chytil will get in if their is an injury or if they need to change shit up if they are down in a series by 2 games, and looking for some sort of spark
