Yeah, it’s not January. It’s the playoffs. You aren’t yanking Igor looking for rest or motivation. You’re riding your horse. Hopefully all the way to the finish line.

Its Game Day. Biggest one yet. Lets strap one the fuck on boys. And lets fucking go!

Yeah just like how youre not scratching Adam Fox for Zac Jones 🙄

Last night Makar took over the game, lets see Foxy do that tonight even if he's battling something.  Hopefully seeing Makar inspires him.

I wound up liking Wennberg, but he’s a 4C. Complete zero on offense. He’s basically Goodrow without the track record of playoff success.

Agreed on Roslovic. He skates fast and that’s about it. He doesn’t play defense. Doesn’t take the body. Not good enough offensively to be missing all he’s missing and play in the top 6. He doesn’t have a bottom 6 game either. He should probably come out of the lineup but 🤷‍♂️

Dude only looks to pass the puck, and when he finally shoots the puck you wish he passes the puck to the wide open man.

Fox gave up, alongside almost everybody else, when the Rangers got down big in game 7 last year.  Watching your best player(s) skating at half-effort when the season is going down the drain is really memorable.

If he's really hurt right now Laviolette needs to sit him and put Jones in.

Not going to sit a Norris Trophy winner for a dude that has played 69 career games.

For Fox to be scratched he'd have to have surgery.  A hurt Fox is infinitely better than Zac Jones.

All it takes is a couple of slick moves on the PP lead to a goal and all will be fine.

Herein lies the problem though to get PPs, Rangers have to be engaged and force the Canes to take penalties so they have more opportunities for Fox and co to produce.

Are we sure it’s the injury and not the quality of opponent? Carolina gives you no time, like others have said. And Fox’s greatest asset is using his time wisely to try and make a play.

It ain’t working right now. And he needs to make adjustments. Badly.

Its definitely some sort of injury, you can tell when the puck gets dumped out of the zone on the PP he's skating at like half speed.

Even with Carolina pressuring he's pretty good at making the quick pass or finding time, but if his leg is wonky, his first step to slide out of the way is slower.

For the Rangers to break through on the PP, quick passes eventually gets Carolina out of position, that is all.  Rangers passes have been off for the most part, really not much of a difference between Games 1 and 2 on the PP and Games 3-5 for Carolina's PK.

  5. Keep the same lineup except for Rempe for Game 6.

However, you want to start Vesey on the 1st line, have at it, Lavi should get the feel of the game early on, and switch the 1RW line up as necessary throughout the game based on who he thinks would be best on 1RW at that moment.

  6. Not to really blame the refs since the Rangers played like shit, BUT how does Burns break his stick on a crosscheck on Mika and not get called, then a few seconds later apparently Carolina had too many men on the ice for 10 seconds (according to Ferraro), both during a Rangers PP.  If Carolina had too many men for 2 seconds I can understand it letting it go, but for 10 during a PK?

Either way the Rangers played like shit but this is the type of shit that gets frustrating.

  7. Shit against the Devils last year is creeping in.

Panarin non-existent, throwing pucks to the middle of the ice.

Guys not hitting with purpose.  Not shooting the puck.

Rangers thinking they had this series wrapped up after Game 3, just like they thought their was no way the Devils would come back 2-0 down.

We'll see if the Rangers have learned their lesson from the Devils series last year.

  8. Dan O'Rourke / Francois St. Laurent are the refs tonight

The Canes went 9-0-1 this season under tonight’s refs, combined; the Rangers were 6-1-0.

Carolina is undefeated over the past two seasons under referee Francois St. Laurent (10-0-1, including playoff games).  The Rangers aren’t far behind, going 9-1-1 over the past three seasons when St. Laurent is officiating.
