20. New York Rangers (from Jets)
Raphael Lavoie, RW, Halifax-QMJHL
The Rangers, who traded away a big, skilled center in Kevin Hayes to get this pick (and Brendan Lemieux), select a similarly sized Lavoie (almost 6-foot-4, 196 pounds). With Kakko taken earlier in the first round and last year?s first-rounder Vitali Kravtsov set to arrive in the NHL, and very likely an addition (or two) in free agency, the Rangers? forward list has quickly filled up. But having selected six defensemen in the draft in 2018, the Rangers are replenishing up front, and you can never have enough scoring. Lavoie, a right-handed shot, scored 32 goals and 72 points in 62 games for Halifax in the QMJHL this season, and a remarkable 20 goals, 32 points in 23 playoff games. ? Carpinello
Pronman: Adding a top scoring talent at No. 20 will be important for the Rangers, who don?t have a ton of high-end skill types in their system right now outside Kakko and Vitali Kravtsov. Lavoie brings skill, speed and goal-scoring ability to the table in a big frame.

He does not. He didn't play enough games.
They may give him an unearned ring though

Ryan O'Reilly!!!!!

Binnington keeping ST. Louis in the game.

Are you fucking kidding me? How do you take that penalty in Game 7!!!

Lets Go Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuues!!!!

The Blues are done if their is any sort of video of Big Papi wishing the team good luck, or if they end up wheeling him out to center ice.

I still have faith St. Louis can win but their game last night was nothing short of stupid. Too many wasted chances. Too many stupid penalties.

Only took 2 penalties and unfortunately they were 1:02 apart in the first period. Yes they were both stupid, but Boston took just as stupid penalties throughout the game. Series has come down to special teams and Tuuka Rask. Boston has been lethal on the PP, while STL is 1-18.

St. Louis can?t cash in on stupid penalties by Boston.

The publishers of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch either have a crystal ball or a little too much adrenaline going into Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. But the local paper just couldn't wait for the series to conclude. It accidentally sent out an electronic edition of the paper that included a signed congratulatory letter from Blues chairman and governor Tom Stillman as well as a celebratory advertisement from rental car company Enterprise, which was founded in St. Louis.
St. Louis better win tonight!!!!

Chara has a broken jaw....status is up in the air for Game 5.
First reports yesterday mentioned he was done for the series but I cant see that happening in the Stanley Cup Final. If Stepan can play with a broken jaw so can Chara.

Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen announced Monday that Cespedes suffered fractured his ankle during an accident at his ranch.
Mets things happening again

They made a good point, something must have happened bc you dont fire a GM in May. You either completely clean house when Bowles was fired, or see how things play out during the season.

:tweet: @AdamSchefter
Jets have fired GM Mike Maccagnan and VP of Player Personnel Brian Heimerdinger, league sources told @jeffdarlington and me. Maccagnan had two years left on his contract. Jets are in position to have strong season thanks to Maccagnan and Heimerdinger.Adam Gase is the interim GM. Gase won the power struggle. Joe/Evan on WFAN are flipping out.

I'm so sorry. We had to put down our bulldog last year and it was gut wrenching, my 6 year old was a champ and consoled me to make me feel better.

Probably paid more for Fox than we got for Zuccarello lol
Unless he makes an instant and sizeable impact it wasn't worth it.
Differences:
Zucc plays forward
Zucc is 31
Zucc is going to be an UFA
Fox plays D
Fox is 21
Fox is a righty D
Fox will be under control for 3+ years
Rangers, Rivals Set to Battle for Jets? Jacob Trouba at Steep Cost

If Chytil was taken at 7, and Andersson at 21 I think we would be thrilled at this point.
Players taken after Andersson hasnt really set the NHL on fire.
hindsight 20/20, who would you rather have the Rangers taken? Suzuki? Cal Foote?
