  1. We both wrong ,he played 21 games under Gaze and was 13-8,8-5 in 2016 ,5-6 in 2018,missed 2017 season, plus he was 6th in passing rating his season.

Plus Joe B was dying to get McCarty in here ,so I cant go by what he said ,and Payton Manning is one of.he treats I'll take his words over now any day

if he was 8-5 in 2016, and 5-6 in 2018, that would make him..........13-11 as I said. And as I previously said he's beaten 3 teams that were over .500 in those 24 games, thats not very good at all. And lets not even count the numerous games lost vs. teams below .500 too.

I think Gase can be a good coach, he wasnt the right coach for the Miami Dolphins. But also what has Gase proved to be the right coach for the NY Jets? This is a big move for McCagnan. B/c if this doesnt work it, it will be same ol typical Jets. Hiring McCarthy would have been the safe hiring for the Jets.

  2. By the way, under Gaze Tannerhill has started 16 games and is 11 wins 5 loses,I say that's a pretty good, plus he had a 121.8 passing rate

    ???

Tannehill was 13-11 under Gase. Again the wins are misleading b/c they were vs. under .500 teams, hardly any wins vs. over .500 teams.

2018 (Tennessee 9-7 : Week 1 of the season and Mariota got hurt, New England 11-5 : Miami Miracle)

    2016 (Pitt 11-5)

So 3 wins vs. .500+ teams in 2 seasons for Tannehill under Gase.

Also Gase's offense has ranked in the bottom 5 the last 2 seasons, overall 26th, 30th in passing this season, 28th overall last season.

Like Joe B. and Evan Roberts said on WFAN, he was the coffee boy for Peyton Manning, Manning was already a HOF QB when Gase was the QB coach in Denver. Manning was calling the plays at the line, not Gase.

  3. He didn't make him worse ,plus Tannehill has been hurt over the last few seasons,he had a mess in his hands with the injuries ,especially at the qb position,he was very young when he got hired by Miami ,and was just under five hundred over those three years,I think he is a good hire

Tannehill was efficient when he could sit in the pocket, however the second that their was any pressure he had no pocket awareness, in addition he would throw INTs that rookies would throw. Gase/Tannehill records are a mirage, they beat the bad teams, could hardly beat any teams that were over .500 under there tenure the last couple of years. Kept on taking a step back after Gase's first season.

  4. Good luck with him. He's brash, he's stubborn, he has a big ego. Its his way or no way. It got so bad in Miami that he got into an argument with Stephen Ross and basically told the owner to F off. He may be a good coach but he wasnt right for the Miami Dolphins, he didnt make Ryan Tannehill better especially he is the QB whisperer.

Apparently he is bringing the OC he had with Miami, which isnt significant anyway since Gase calls the plays.

  5. What's the hip impingement feel like? Think I have one.

I have some bone growth on my femur, so I do not have full range of motion within my hip. I feel like sometimes that my leg gets "stuck" for a second, and feel something like the bone click to get back into place. So basically i've been going to PT to loosen up my hips. I feel a lot better since i've been doing PT.

  6. This was the summer of hell for me regarding fitness.

In May, I did a 10K at Bear Mountain, a couple of days later I had a small tear in my calf, so I was going to PT for the tear and a hip impingement. So, no lower body exercising for X amount of time.

July 1st, on a leisurely bike ride in Flushing Meadows Park I hit a massive pothole that I didn't see, flipped over my bike and tore a ligament in my wrist....Now 8 weeks later, still not healed, got a cortisone shot a couple of weeks ago, if not better in 2-3 more weeks, then wrist surgery.

Missed out on a Spartan Race I was signed up for 2 weeks ago, have another one in mid-November that I hope I can do if I don't need surgery.

Now no upper body exercising has led me to eating everything in sight.

I can't wait to be healed so I can start back at CrossFit 3-4 days a week.

Once I had a kid, I pretty much stopped drinking except for the very rare social events that I attend or when my daughter goes to visit the grandparents for the weekend.

  7. I’m the same way, I can only take bits and pieces of him. I listened to his opening yesterday just to see what he was going to say about his return, switched back to espn about 15 minutes later

Listened as much as I could yesterday which was the opening, and then bits and pieces the rest of the day until I left the office. Im back to my regular routine now, when he comes on I turn it off, unless I know he will have Pierre Maguire or Joe Micheletti on which we know wont happen since the Rangers are not playing. Its been a nice April not having to listen to him to wait to transcribe an interview.

  8. Finally some karma for Chernoff. Serves him right for killing the classic rock format on WPLJ

When was WPLJ classic rock? Before Q104.3, 102.7 WNEW use to be the classic rock station. By the way what happened to CBSFM 101.1? That was always the "oldies" station but last week they played Baby's Got Back. Is that considered "oldies" these days? I know theyve been playing Pearl Jam/Nirvana for a few years but to hear a rap song was kind of mind boggling.

  9. https://nypost.com/2018/04/25/wfan-morning-show-unloads-on-mike-francesa-return/

Francesa went above the station’s head, to its parent company, Entercom, and its president, David Field, according to The Post’s Andrew Marchand, to pull the strings on his return.

    https://nypost.com/2018/04/24/mike-francesas-crawl-back-to-wfan-is-fun-heated-and-doomed/

There is barely anyone in the FAN’s offices who wanted Francesa to return. This was done at a corporate level.

The vice president of his station, Mark Chernoff, did not want Francesa back, according to sources.

  10. It's just ridiculous that, after his year and a half farewell tour, he's coming back after only four months - which is basically what Kay said.

and now will be another 18 months of "Good To Have You Back Mike".....then he's gonna play this like he's saving WFAN.

  11. I wonder how Michael Kay feels about it now that they will be in the same exact time slot.

Michael Kay and LaGreca mentioned it yesterday. If you're on twitter follow @BackAftaThis, its a lot about Mike Francesa, and they posted video of Kay and LaGreca's reaction
