I'd like FIFA to step up, and say as of 2018, there will be no more offsides.
What would be the downside? Teams would adapt. More scoring? More running = more fit, younger players play? Less controversy over allowed/disallowed goals?
Sign me up.
Epic, in Germany against the run of play. Could have made it 2-0 soon after, professional defending to finish off match. Unfamiliar territory for the current club, not for Wenger.
Cautiously starting to believe. This team attacks with ferocity and creativity. If Arsenal keeps scoring 2-3 goals a game, defensive holes less apparent since clean sheets aren't always necessary. Waiting to see what standings look like Jan 1.
Sorry.... the group I was referring to are teams that all qualified on the same day (US, Costa Rica, Italy, Netherlands, Argentina). Different confederations/qualifying routes.
Was shocked by the result and how feeble Mexico played - but thrilled USA and Costa Rica qualified. Also Italy, Netherlands, and Argentina - good group to go in.
Big one tonight: US-Mexico, with Mexico really needing wins to qualify for WC. Although I could see US losing to Mexico, beating Jamaica, beating/tieing Panama, and qualifying, sure would be nice to see a US result tonight.
Group C is a pillowfight... Groups F and H are tough... lots of criticisms of the ranking system, but any system that has runnersup Dortmund in pot 3 is ridiculous.
I'd be excited to get either Michu or Dzeko, although I wish Michu had a slightly longer track record. I was not thrilled about the talk of Suarez - implosion waiting to happen.
Hard to see City let Dzeko get away.
Is there any way to see a record of who you've repped in the settings? I like to spread the love to quality posts and would love to see if I've neglected anyone.
