  1. well, that redhead hadn't been naked in a few episodes, so i guess it was time to throw her goodies back in. people might turn it off if there's no nudity:rolleyes:
  2. finishing it up now. awesome episode. except for the pycelle scene. not sure what was going on there. they always have to throw in one head scratcher an episode for me. waiting a year for the next season is going to suck balls.
  3. well, that's the way the book is written. if you watch dexter, they have some seasons where everything wraps up neat and some where the last scene is f'n epic. but they can do that because they aren't working off of anything that exists already.
  4. i haven't even watched it yet, but i know what happens and i agree, how can you say that nothing happens? dragons... ? that's not a good finale? there's so many story lines at the end of the book that i couldn't wait to read the next one. serious question, what could they have done differently to hold your attention?
  5. that was me and the first season of dexter. i love "on demand."
  6. the book is better because you not only get the funny shit his says, you get the funny shit he thinks as well.
  7. i'm a bad reader. theon's chapters in the beginning of book II bored me so i kept skipping to get to arya's, and it just went from there.
  8. completely out of order. the only one i have read cover to cover as it was written was the first one.
  9. Yeah, I'm down for any pm's relating to the series. I love talking nerd stuff
  10. Well, the new one comes out in july. They really need to reissue hardcovers. All of my books are trashed and i've owned multiple copies of each. I'm trying to re read the second book but I'm missing pages
  11. http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110607173621/uncyclopedia/images/d/da/Tyrion_slaps_Joffrey.gif i'm jazzed that we talked the series up and you guys got into it.
  12. yeah, i wasn't clear on what they were trying to show. maybe they'll talk about the battle in the next episode. i really hope it's not that they are removing his character from the fighting though. [spoiler=IMO it changes his character a lot. he's also involved in a huge battle at king's landing at the end of the second book. it's pretty significant if he doesn't go out and fight.]
  13. He actually did go into battle though, and managed to hold his own. That was the only part of that episode that I didn't like. I'm not sure why they did that.
  14. you just said you hated reading though so obviously you wouldn't. i'm not a reader at all, but i managed to read the first book like 5 times. i used to have them all but i have lent them out so many times i'm only left with a copy of a clash of kings that's in 4 pieces and a bunch of loose pages. i really want nice hard cover copies of the whole series.
  15. i'm anticipating what this thread will look like after this week's episode moreso than actually watching the show.
  16. i never thought i'd say this, but those are actually starting to bother me. they really cheapen the story. littlefinger is supposed to be a little shady, but there's no need for him to come out and say. it works better if he just goes a long seeming like a friend until the end of the episode. i think the whole tywin gutting the deer is obviously in your face symbolism as well as a way to show you that he doesn't fuck around. i liked that scene even though it wasn't in the book. up until then he's just a name, it's a good introduction.
  17. just watched episode 7 online. i can't wait to hear what you guys have to say after that one.
  18. she was eating a horse heart to make the baby strong. ooohhh those scwewy dothwacki
  19. ****SPOILER ALERT***** Tyrion and bronn become lovers, joffrey kills cersei and runs away with sansa and arya's wolf. robert steps down as king to whore it up in the free ciities, varys kills littlefinger in a duel of whispers. The mountain and the hound put aside their differences and have a nice family thanksgiving dinner. Ned becomes king and appoints jamie lannister the hand. Bran turns into the three eyed crow and flies away after hearing that jon snow fell from the wall... and lived.
  20. Yeah, last night's episode was great. I'm. Just wondering how they are going to cram everything in to the last 4 episodes
  21. ok, i get you, but littlefinger did say "how long before you have your friend," to renly as well. it seemed pretty obvious to my GF who never read past the first book, which none of that is in. i know i'm harping and the series is going along well, but when you have 10 episodes to do something i don't feel it's necessary to alter it that much. you're not trying to condense a 400 page book into 2 hours of screen time.
