  1. Michonne is pretty damn lame so far. I don't see what the hype is all about... like whatshisname from Talking Dead and all of the comic book nerds freaking out saying WHOA MICHONNE did you see Michonne!!!?. What has she done? She just scowls the whole time. Show me something lady.
  2. I should really call Verizon and threaten or something because my internet speeds are fucking horrible. I checked on speedstest, and I am getting overall grade of "D"

I have verizon DSL I think.... I actually meant to ask you guys if the download speeds were normal... I don't know how to tell my parents to change either being that they have the 3 in 1 package with DIrectTV. Does that mean they can only get Verizon?

That being said, why the fuck do I have such slow speeds. I'll post it.

That just has to be horrible, no?

Thats pretty bad. I dont even see on their website where they still offer DSL. I would ditch that.. you can hook up their bundles with their FIOS internet. Do that if you can.

  3. So the new trailer shows everything. It shows like the whole season... what in the hell were they thinking? The best part about the show is not knowing what comes next. Ahhhhh why did I watch all of that? I would suggest not watching it.
  4. It was just awesome... Well we know what's going on right? At least do you?

no. they acted as though they were so far from the farm. but they werent.. the fences. what the fuck was carl doing there? what were those flashing zombie images? why did shane come back as a zombie?

  5. They already killed one kid off the show. Killing Carl might shatter the show. I don't think he needs to die, I just think he needed to learn that his actions have serious consequences, and having realized that the walker he thought would be fun just to fuck around with was the one that ultimately killed Dale might have done just that.

I guess quick release will be happy, though, considering they finally killed off a legit cast member.

    YESSSSSSSS!!!

  6. Who is that walker they keep showing? Is that supposed to symbolize something, just there, someone we know or supposed to know or will know in the future?

    Weird...

Clearly it's symbolizing Shane's struggle with his "rogue" nature. If he leaves the group, he knows he could very well end up like that walker.. alone and quite possibly, a walker.

  7. I am like 3 episodes in and its pretty good. It honestly feels like the show has no direction at all but its still great to watch lol

Yeah. I agree. And that might be his intention. It might reflect how many in n.o.l.a. didn't feel like there was a direction after Katrina.

  8. I've had this discussion with so many of my friends who feel the same way. I guess I'm just built differently. I love this version of the show so much more than the one where they did nothing but run from and kill zombies. All I hear is that there are too few zombies and too much drama, but IMO the show is better positioned for long-term success this way than the former. There's a reason zombie movies have a niche audience and a reason why few viewers would sit through 12 hours of non-stop zombie-gore. The story is what hooks people and what keeps most viewers attached. The goal is to create a reason for everyone to come back by forcibly planting an investment in all of them. "I want to see zombies butcher people and get their heads blown off" only fits a very small niche group audience. "I want to see a post-apocalyptic group survive in a zombie-overrun environment where trust and mistrust are a daily struggle" fits a much, much larger net.

Why have any drama at all if all you want to see is zombie-gore? Who cares about getting to know the characters if all you want to see is people get ripped apart and shoot walkers in the head? Who cares that Shane fucked Lori, or that he killed Otis, or that Sophia is dead?

Depth is what keeps programs alive, and depth comes from developing characters. Something I feel too few people realize is that "The Walking Dead" is in reference to the survivors, not the zombies, so it stands to reason that the focus is on them... not the walkers themselves.

That's not my position at all though. I don't watch for the zombies. I have friends that do and complain like you're talking about, but I watch for the story and mostly the characters/dialogue/suspense. I'm not a fan of horror in the first place.

My problem is simply that it feels so fucking cheezy. Especially with that damn kid and Lori's stupid psycho-trip. I want subtlety, something this show is NOT delivering. It's all exaggerated nonsense at this point. Honestly it's very much reminding me of Sons of Anarchy's bad qualities. Cheese.
