  1. Yeah they brought the Terminus thing up on Talking Dead.

This was one of the worst episodes of the series. That scene where Carol appears... That felt so fake. It was like a first year film student directed it. It was so bad that for about 2 minutes after she appeared I was convinced it had to be some kind of dream sequence. :puke:

  2. It was required to delve into the anger of Carl, to allow him to come back to the realization that he still very much needs his father, and still very much needs something. Yes, he's capable of surviving on his own, but at the same time not.

You're way too hung up on the minutia of a scene like that if all you took out of it was "Chandler Riggs is a bad child actor".

Quite the opposite. I enjoyed the premise of the episode and especially carl's little trip around the neighborhood. Trust me, I understand what they were going for before he stepped out of the door. Was that supposed to be subtle?

Him being a shit actor and the writing being way too dramatic takes me out of the show. It took me out of an episode that was otherwise good. It has nothing to do with hangups.

  3. PERFECT example of what holds this show back. That speech Carl gave to Rick. Completely unnecessary especially with how shitty of an actor that kid is. They could have went with a long stare and a head shake and a look of disgust.

Didn't Michone used to have more of a rigid restraining system for her walkers? It doesnt make any sense now. Glad she cut them all to pieces. Good ending to the episode. Any time members of the group reunite is always a good feeling.

  4. I'm eager to read about water references after tonights pisode

When the series ends with the entire group drowning, I'll be the one laughing at you. It's so weird that they had Patrick coughing in the water supply, then all of those references (which I still think were intentional for whatever reason), and then nothing. It was definitely either long term foreshadowing or more likely it was just some stupid idea to take part of the audience for a detour.

  5. Season 4 has had some of the best and some of the worst episodes. Ultimately, the show is dragged down by redundancy and the desire to create "moments". It often feels forced and over-dramatic when they reinforce ideas with a sledgehammer. And the child actors are horrendous (although a lot of this has to do with the writing).

That's my review of the show so far. We'll see where it goes.

  6. lol yea, who even drinks water and why would you tell sick people to drink fluids

The episode before that it was absolutely over the top. Who talks about liquids that much?

This episode I started keeping track.. there were a couple more but it did seem normal this time. Then it actually got good. First good episode in quite a while.

  7. Between Carl, that little "weak" girl, and Maggie's sister, you'd think they could find one half-way decent child actor.

But hey at least between the giant parade of walkers and the voice on the radio, things will get interesting. Also, I figure they're most definitely going to find the medicine since now Glen and Hershel are both sick (well Hershel has to become sick after that right?). They won't kill off two main characters with one cause.

  8. Not trying to be a contrarian here. I hardly enjoyed watching that episode. Matter of fact, in comparison to every other episode of the series, I thought it just plain sucked. I felt nothing. No suspense, no emotion. That whole thing with the Michael Jackson corpse lady was out of no where and did nothing for me. What was the reason behind that whole shitty scene?

The kid stumbling off into some random area of the prison and dying like that? Fuck I saw that whole thing coming as soon as he coughed. Even the way they all got caught in the convenience store.. as soon as they showed the zombies on the roof you knew what was going to happen. I mean the scene with the blonde girl and her boyfriend.. you knew the boyfriend is not coming back from the trip to town.

Completely predictable. Overdramatic with that stupid scene in the woods. And on top of it all, how many commercial breaks did they have like 9? They cut to commercial at 9:18 then cut to ANOTHER commercial at 9:27. Beginning commercials just 9 minutes apart. Like what the fuck? They've whored this show out so much. After watching a show like Breaking Bad conclude, this just seems like it was written for a simpleton. Nothing surprising nor thought-provoking happened. Seems like they're way too caught between writing a drama and writing it as a kind of corny comic book series.

Oh another example of how shitty it was. The way the blonde girl reacted to the death of her boyfriend.. like WE GET IT... it's a tough world and these kids have now become hardened so that they dont cry over stuff anymore. We get it. You dont have to hammer it into my face with this girl's shitty acting.

You may write this whole post off as being cynical or whatever but I just praised the hell out of Breaking Bad and the Americans. I'm watching like 5 series that I love and this one is starting to look like shit in comparison.

  9. God damnit mta. Hudson line is down. Have to go to Dover. Then have someone pick me up. And pay someone else to drive my sorry ass to fishkill/beacon tomorrow to get my car. What a pain in the sack.

Lol. At least the bachelor party in Atlantic city was a success. What a weekend.

  10. Shes pretty attractive for an older lady.. that accent is attrocious though. Also thinks she fits the role just fine. Theres definitely still something really one-dimensional about this show. Maybe it's just slow-moving.. I don't know.

Oh isn't she the same broad from SOA.. the irish one?
