Rangers run around too much on D.  They love to leave the man in front to go double a guy in the corner or behind the net.

Yea and they don't recover well if at all. It's been said multiple times already, but the lack of a system to fall back on really hurts these guys. The younger players most of all. Schneider has not had a good season. Miller has been bad too despite his offensive production. These guys have much more to give, I just don't think GG and Co are the ones to get that out of them.

I'm thinking either that, or at least the ECF.  It would be a tough call for Drury to unload him after two 100 point seasons if he at least makes the ECF.  But anything short of that, I think it's hasta la vista baby!!

I can't handle another year of GG/Murphy behind the bench. I've never seen defensemen so lost on a regular basis in my life. Murphy is a fraud. I constantly wonder wtf he's teaching these guys during practice.

He didn't play poorly pre injury.  He was playing primarily with Chytil and spent some time with CK-Zib.  Just didn't happen to score in those 14 games.

Trying to work his way back from injury he had a rotating cast of Carpenter, Gauthier, Goodrow, Reaves, Brodzinski, Kravtsov, and Leschhyn.  Carpenter, Reaves, Brodzinski, and Leschhyn combined for 2 goals in 64 games.  Krav had 3 goals, 2 assisted by Panarin and 1 by Chytil, so also a guy that fail to score with the trash 4th liners.  Blais had an assist on half of Gauthier's goals.  Coming back from injury he was never given a chance with a good center.  He played about 385 minutes; about 12.5 with Trocheck, 31.5 with Chytil, and 5.5 with Zib.  The other 335 minutes were with trash.

    Zero goals

Like I said before, worse players have done more with less.

No idea. Shrinking role? Unhappiness? I'm just saying it's not impossible.

Before the Tkachuk trade, I'd have looked at Florida because of the Bobrovsky connect. I have no idea where he'd go now. I guess maybe wherever Kane goes?

He'd have to be legit miserable. Panarin is not someone I see being moved, especially since you're not going to get equal value as @Pete mentioned.

I understand he can be frustrating, but removing a 90 point forward hurts this team badly. Two guys that have a higher chance of being moved to me is Kreider and Trouba (cap casualty)

Also, I refuse to live in a world where @Vodka Drunkenski gets his way.

He is frustrating but I think you’re taking this way too literally. Obviously not every point is exactly the same. But I’m not going to sit there and pick apart every point of a 21 year old, 1st overall or not. He’s struggling but there is a skill set there. Some points obviously are fluff. Some are not. He had some good jump last game. I, hoping for more of the same. Steps forward.

my god, I never thought me saying Laf announces himself tonight to the NHL would be met so critically. Do we not all want that? Just trying to believe in something. It’s the GDT, not the “deep dive analysis on Laf” thread. Lol

I'm being critical of Donut, not so much your comment. It's just the one I chose to quote.

The way too early thoughts on next year are that the Giants will take a step back. I don’t see the necessary cap available to do the kinds of moves that are required. Combine that with what should be a more difficult schedule than this season. But anything can happen.

Interior OL and WR should be a priority. It pains me to say it, but they probably have to let Barkley walk. You don’t win or build properly by paying a RB the kind of money he’ll get on the open market. They’ll pay Jones and it will be imperative to protect that investment and give him the weapons to succeed.

I love Barkley. I can understand the argument for letting him walk. I guess it really comes down to the window Schoen and Co have in mind with this rebuild. Because if you let a talent like that walk, you're stuck trying to fill it in with guys in FA who will come up short. Saquon was a huge part of this year's offense.

Tough choices for a young GM, but I like what he's been saying so far. Seems he's much more level headed then what the Giants have had before (see gettlefuck) Anxious to see how it plays out.

They need alot of everything to compete in this division. Eagles (10th pick in the draft coming up) are loaded. Cowboys are talented. Giants need a lot. Let’s hope they build on successes next year.

I have faith in Schoen. I expect him to build properly and not try to rush it. He’s also got a cap to fix. They’ll do it right.

This goes to show how backwards you're thinking is. I was the only one who was right about Strome LOL.
