  1. What a dash by Bale! http://cdn2.vox-cdn.com/assets/4311143/madridgoal.gif
  2. Only "his" was missing, it wasn't "his kill." He says the sword and the name will feel like killing Ned Stark every time he kills, but he didn't kill Ned Stark and would only have the memory of ordering Sir Payne to do it and that's not quite the same. I guess it could just be playing off Joffrey's continuous faking of hardship in battle, but it was an odd moment.
  3. Yeah, so how would Joffrey know that every kill would feel like Ned Stark's, when that wasn't kill? An odd quote.
  4. The whodunnit shouldn't be that hard, I think. There are but a few options, but I'm pretty sure Cersei pointed out the wrong one. ;) It was yet another glorious episode. Not just because of what happened, but because so much was going on. I saw some people complaining Tyrion was mean to Shae, but I can't be alone in thinking he was solely mean for her own good, because without it she would've never left him? He had to hurt her feelings and scare her off for her own good. An interesting point was made in WaPo's great weekly recap of the episode: why did Joffrey claim he took Ned Stark's head when he didn't? All in all, I'm going to miss hating him, but boy, did he have it coming.
  5. It was a fantastic episode that absolutely sucked me back into the show like no other E01 to a series ever has. I was immediately enamored by Oberyn, I was moved as much by the Red Wedding as I was by Sansa's pain, Arya's murder in the inn was awesome beyond words, I loved the Lannisters falling apart among their own ranks. My only peeve would be zero explanation, not even something minor, as to Daario's odd change in appearance. If you are a fairly casual viewer, who doesn't care about the casting, you'd have no clue - given how little Daario was named in season three - that the bearded man flirting with Daenarys and the long-haired smooth talker from last season are the same character and the bearded man is his appearance moving forward. Very well casted though, Michiel Huisman is a fantastic actor and the subtle Dutch accent should work well for people who don't pick up on it being anything "a little different" from the British and American English of the other lead roles. It works with Melisandre and her Dutch tone too.
  6. Fortuna went a huge run and are suddenly in the hunt for the promotion playoffs with a few games left to play. They seemed completely out and far behind just a few weeks ago and now they are in 9th, which usually is enough for a spot and one or two spots higher is a guaranteed in.
  7. LOL. Yeah. Pretty much. Not sure it's just fear of being mistaken for Germans, but more fear in general of not knowing how to respond in other people's etiquette, so you make a "might as well laugh about it" kind of gesture.
  8. Ticket booked, farewell party planned. April 27th I'm coming over and I'm staying, so y'all better be ready for me.
  9. Would be a decent welcome party for me! :D
  10. It looks so generic, like yet another typical parking lot cookie cutter arena. What makes it cool?
  11. I was awarded a visa for immigration to the United States today. :)
  12. Real murdered Schalke 6-1, but Huntelaar's consolation goal was sick. http://www.imgdumper.nl/uploads7/530e5f67aecdf/530e5f67ac5cf-eLgdRJ7.gif
  13. It's not completely clear yet, but Barcelona (and other teams) have to pay an x percent of tax over the total cost of a transfer. By them not listing all payments and hiding certain payments as unrelated transfer fees, they evaded a tax bill of several million. Neymar turns out to be the most expensive transfer in soccer, trumping even Gareth Bale's 100+ million euro move from Tottenham to Real Madrid. Basically, FC Barcelona, Neymar's old team and Neymar and his family all benefited greatly by making the transfer appear a lot cheaper than it was.
  14. He's been a little injured, or out of it, lately. And it's been hurting Arsenal.
  15. ?zil breaks the old rule of never taking a penalty kick for a foul on yourself and he fails to score indeed. Not sure if that's statistically a thing, but it used to be coached that way.
  16. Not everybody orders drinks. I've recently stuck with just water for my diet and wouldn't order anything else. It could very well be an act though, but wouldn't say the lack of drinks makes it definitive.
  17. Yesterday I got my vaccines updated - a US requirement for certain visas - and my arm feels like I was in a bar brawl last night.
  18. A barely edible meal sounds pretty good in comparison to the goo they serve with US Airways.
  19. LOL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zadWUXRZ19I
  20. I went Go Karting at an indoor pro track last night and I can barely move today. Bruises on my back, legs are sore. It was awesome though.
  21. That moment when he realizes they are cheering for him. So awesome.
