Have changed my line of thinking here. Canes handle this series pretty easily dealing the Rangers a pretty big setback. You are still a couple years away. This is our year! Canes in 6

So do we think game 1 will likely be Sunday? I’m coming up for game 1 or 2 haven’t decided yet. Also, why were the Canes betting favorites to Win the Cup over Rangers going into playoffs? I didn’t get that.

we meet again. Canes in 7! To address an earlier post, Pesce is expected to be back for this series BTW. NOT looking forward to your annual takeover of our arena however. We have actual season ticket holders that will be pulling for the Rangers! LOL

That was Canes hockey last night. When we play like that there are few teams that can beat us over a 7 game stretch. That said it seems pretty certain that team will be nowhere to be found tomorrow night and it will come back to Raleigh for Game 7. This Jekyll and Hyde home/away situation is getting to be pretty mind numbing. Obviously its mostly on us as the B's series played out the exact same way.

Heading to the arena here shortly. I think things snowball on you this evening the crowd energy is going to be off the chain tonight and it will fuel the team to a big win. 5-1 Canes.

Ill be out there with a crew by 4 pm. Our pregames are more like football.... Huge, endless tailgate scene with grills smoking far and wide. Quite the contrast from a game at MSG. Pumped up get it going tonight!

This is mostly correct. There is a small core of diehards who are there all season but the bandwagon is loaded up to the gills right now with a lot of fans who 100% do not know a lot of the rules of the game. I took a Bruins fan to game 5 last series and he was losing it listening to and observing all the newbie fans. That said he admitted it was one of the loudest. most energized hockey arenas he had ever been in. Our brand of Hick Hockey can be pretty fun in its own ways.

The Boston fans I knew HATED him. They also threw out a bunch of racist claims which we really know nothing about. I don't know all the history with the guy or what the basis on all of it is but he has definitely left quite a wake at his previous stops it would appear.

Well he's playing great hockey, his teammates are saying good things about him, and other fan bases hate and boo him,...so right now we love him. Ha! Will he get a hard boo-bird serenade when he returns up there?

Excited to get this series rolling! We are no doubt a bandwagon, largely hockey uneducated bunch, but damn sure enough the PNC Center will be rockin'! Typically a ton of Rangers fans at games down here so will be interesting to see. As a poster above mentioned things have changed a lot around here over the last 5-10 years. 10 years ago Ranges fans would have taken over the place. Anyone coming down who needs local info let me know.
