  1. Absolutely, but I'd rather they hit on a depth scoring type of guy than a grinder if that makes sense.
  2. Anaheim is probably the correct choice, and appears to have the shortest road to redemption. But you can't help but wanting to take Edmonton, an organization who has fucked up an almost unfuckupable (no, that's not a word) situation. The best player in the world, one of the best one-two punches in the league and a shitload of high draft picks in the last 5 years. Yeah I'm taking Edmonton. And I'm probably going to be hounded out of town in the next 6 months.
  3. It'll be interesting to see how they play this. Is he going to be interested in coming over here to play in the AHL or to play second fiddle on the Henrik Lundqvist farewell tour? It wouldn't surprise me if he'd rather take another year or two in the KHL. Personally I'd love it if he came over, had a strong camp and split duties with Hank 50/50 next season.
  4. I’m not going to lie, I’m massively enjoying Wahlstrom taking a beating in the rankings. Pronman had him way down as well.
  5. Currently the 47th best NHL prospect according to Pronman's midseason ranking:
  6. Corey Pronman has Kravtsov as the 11th best NHL prospect in his midseason ranking.
  7. They obviously went for the guy they felt was the best fit with Darnold. He'll need a strong DC to work with, rumours right now seems to be Vance Joseph.
  8. Yeah, for that reason I’d rather he comes here and plays out the remainder of the season with the Pack rather than being traded to a KHL contender. Even though the quality of hockey will be worse.
  9. I'm halfway joking of course, but I really do think his ability is such that I feel absolutely confident he'll make the team. I also think the organization is so invested in him that to not make the team he'd have to be so poor in camp they decided he's simply not ready. And I think he's played enough grown-up hockey in Russia that it seems unlikely. Agreed on Shesty too.
  10. You can’t say it’s 100%, but I’d say it’s pretty fucking likely. They were strongly considering bringing him over straight after the draft, but decided against it because of a concern over whether Traktor would throw a spanner in the works. He’ll be here imo.
  11. Bobrov is over there, and I'd imagine he watches him quite often. This quote is from today: Also:
  12. I don't think anybody said offense was an "issue", merely that scouts were uncertain about the offensive upside. Surprisingly you might say, considering he's a convert from forward. So it's good to see him putting up points at this rate. I haven't seen anyone questioning the defensive side of his game.
  13. No need to rush this kid imo. He's in a good place, learning from an excellent coaching staff who I'm led to believe have been churning out high end NHL D-men for a while. One of the things that has my real giddy about him is the fact Pronman and other scouts said the one question they had about him was whether he could contribute offense. It appears he not only can, but is in fact dominating points wise. I think I need a lie down.
  14. Iceland is great. Would I live there? Fuck no. I do know from experience that Oslo shits on both northern upstate NY and central Quebec from a great height and is vastly superior in every conceivable way. But I do love the US and wouldn't mind moving back if the opportunity came along.
  15. Well, it was better playing hockey there. I'm back here now though
  16. Yes. I am Norwegian and grew up there though, so it's not really that impressive. :p
  17. I played for Frisk in the early 90's before moving to North America.
  18. Yeah, that would be good. I think the Flames made a good pick there. I played against his dad quite a few times, many moons ago. He played for M/S back in the day.
