Ugly breakdown. Great period. We’ve come back all year. Keep pushing.

    We will get our chances.

Imo, really not sure what was great about that period. Zone time with very limited quality chances? Some of the same invisible or only visible for a random shift here and there? No sustained pressure, handling the puck like a grenade? Passing up hits on the forecheck?

Only one period but hardly great imo. If that's all they've got to bring tonight it's going to be striaght uphill.

  2. It's hard to overlook it took them 3 OT periods to win two games.  Those games certainly could of gone either way. Thankfully we won both, I think the two teams are evenly matched as a whole in this series. I don't think we should be overconfident as if it was just a matter of us slipping up in a couple periods in the last two games. The canes have been right there all along.  Hoping for us to play their best game tomorrow night , take the W and not going to a toss up game 7.

The Rangers need to set up on the power play to be effective.  They haven’t really been able to do that as much.  Not winning faceoffs and Carolina not letting them carry the puck in has neutralized the power play.  Every time the Rangers try to dump in Carolina easily clears it down the ice.

Yes sir, solid adjustment on their part we have yet to counter it.

Sorry Br4d, I'm not biting.   Prior to Game 4, I called it; the 3rd/4th line domination.   I'd like to refer to them as our 34th Division.   The 34th has continued our their youth movement and they are being driven by Vesey and Goody, and Wenny.  Sure, we missed some wide open shots and are clanging posts, but KK and Cuylle are creating scoring chances everywhere.    This core is leading by example and they'll be the reason the NYR advance.

Now our regulars.   Look around and watch Laffy.   He'll instill some urgency in our vets that, frankly, have a tendency to "glide" as we've all said.   Well, don't look now but your 34th Division just wore down the Canes front lines, again.   So, step it up.

Line by line, goalie-to-goalie, the New York Rangers are the better team.  Laffy and KK, Cuylle and Jimmy are driving this bus now.   I'm just going to sit back, watch and do my own thing.   Be one of our regulars and hop on board.

Ugh you lost me at KK and Wenny driving anything. At least Cuylle is passing the eye test. Between the 3 of them they have 4 points in 27 games.  Part of the issue is offensively there's nothing to fall back on when the top 6 take the night off. Whatever adjustments the Canes made on the PK have shutdown the PP and without that going we struggle/lose.

  5. I don't think we're doomed but I also can see them getting snuffed the rest of the way. Even Vally saying he "wonders how you recoup after that one".  But I do definitely think the focus on just what happened or didn't in the third (coming from the Trouba and Tro interviews) is misguided. They sucked ass and were flat from the drop of the puck. Hell Boyle just said half joking he could played Anderson's game tonight. Good on Lavy for saying it was more than the 3rd period tonight. Let's see if Lavy can light a fire under these guys. Hoping Chytil can go Thursday.

Shit Lavy's suit matches tonight's effort. Talk to Hank before game six coach, be better!
