  1. My friend took a screenshot showing it in with .2 left but I guess they didn’t care to look
  2. the venn diagram is close enough to a circle lol. my wife is a big MCR fan and actually saw them live a year or so ago, not a bad show tbh.
  3. 5 leg parlay Kings ML + Arvidsson o .5 points Panthers ML + Tkachuk, Verhaege both o .5 points +320
  4. Ferraro on the color commentary is actually pretty good but McDonagh just gets no excitement going. Seems like every time a goal is scored he's always talking about something else and feels like he needs to finish his point lol
  5. watching highlights of this game for the millionth time because it was so great, but god would these be so much better if Doc was still calling hockey games. ESPN announcers are so boring.
  6. Felt like that walking out lol But yeah I’d say maybe like 75-25 sounds right. At least in the upper deck
  7. One of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had at a sporting event. even sitting super high up, had a good view. The comeback yelling. YES YS YES on the way out l, seeing all the isles fans who talked so much shit scurry away. Oh man what a day
  8. I keep thinking this team would take a step forward and at least get to a point of playing meaningful hockey down the stretch, if not a playoff team. Maybe the east is just too deep to break through on, but still, this firing was a long time coming.
  9. the cross-check to the head was overboard and he deserves a big-time suspension. yeah, it's a dick move to do that slapper on the empty net. Drop the gloves with him. hell maybe don't even wait for him to drop, just throw them down and start punching, take an instigator, take the fine. but there's a line and Reilly crossed it and the league needs to crack down on this.
  10. in all seriousness though congrats. thats gonna be quite a scene in your house my brother had his 2nd kid back in May so having a baby and a soon to be 4 year old is a handful. I also got 2 under 2 but at least theyre at the same stages and need the same things. you're in for one lol
  11. at the end of the day, just the presence of transplants isn't sustainable. it helps, sure. But transplants aren't buying season tix and you can't rely on road fans to keep you profitable. When Vegas got a team, I think the overall thought among NHL fans was that this would be their model, but they made sure it wasn't. THeir quick success helped things sure, but they made it a place that locals would want to go to and a team they would want to support. The AZ Market has spoken, they don't want to support this team. I feel bad for the fans who have, and I've typically been of the mind that they should do whatever they can to keep the team where it is. But it's gone on long enough. The public referendum on a new arena, completely privately funded, got a no vote from the voters. Maybe the owners were lazy and didn't think they needed to do a PR campaign and it would be an easy Yes passage which is just another example of the constant mismanagement of this team. Or maybe it was fully intentional, pretending to do everything in their power to keep the team before moving them. Either way, enough is enough. Time to move. There are markets that want a team and that will support a new team. AZ doesn't want to. Hopefully, this up and coming team can make an immediate impact on a new market and have success.
  12. my concerns with acquiring Lindholm are that we would pay top value for a guy who isnt guaranteed to resign (unless there's some sort of sign and trade deal worked out), and who might not fill a role we totally need. He's a very good player but do we want to break up Tro and Bread right now? do we ever take Zib and Kreider off of eachothers line? how much PP time is Lindholm getting? We'd have insane depth sure, but then we're giving up a lot for a guy who might end up on the third line with limited PP2 minutes and is it worth giving up a huge haul to get a guy who fills that void?
  13. Maybe, I guess it also depends how he continues on this season/how he does in the playoffs. But still, given the timeframe to make a move for him needed, it'd be tough to get anything of value for him. Like, a team that could use him to make them a contender isnt gonna make a 'hockey trade' for him, we're only getting picks/prospects back and is that what we want? maybe we're doing a separate deal/3way trade where we get a top player back. I just can't see a realistic scenario where we get what we want out of a Kreider trade unless the goal is to just move on from him and look at Free Agents.
  14. I also don't know if there'd be a huge market for Kreider, who gets a 15 team no trade clause starting july 1st $6.5 mil for a 32 year old who will still have 3 years left on his deal won't be easy to move/get good value for. Also i wouldn't label Kreider as one of 'Gorton's Guys' as he's been a career Ranger for 12+ years or whatever it is.
  15. He's still averaging over 16 minutes of ice time a game, which isnt insane but certainly wouldnt indicate he's cooked Im in the same boat admitedly and have only really caught a little bit of Minnesota this year (usually when I have money on a game they're in lol) but i can't recall ever thinking he looked out of place. His corsi% at 5v5 is 49% but would make sense that its under 50 considering he's on a not very good team and also used in more defensive situations If he can be had for a mid-round pick (Capfriendly says he has a 21-team No Trade list so he probably gets a ton of say where he goes), at 850k he's certainly worth calling about
  16. yeah i'd agree with that. was mostly just spitballing some names of vet Dmen on expiring deals that aren't expensive.
  17. This was a long time ago but I remember on 32 thoughts Friedman had a line that essentially said 'every playoff team is always looking to add a Dman at the deadline. Im mostly comfortable with the D corps we have but I do think we could stand to benefit from a cheap, veteran rental Defenseman. As Minnesota drifts out of the playoff race, someone in the mold of Bogosian or Goligoski (with salary retained) there might make sense for depth. I don't think we need to bring in a huge upgrade over anyone in our 6 Dmen but a depth 7th that can step in when injuries end up happening is a good investment and if we end up packaging Jones in a deal for an upgrade in our top 9 forwards we will need the reinforcements on the back end
  18. You start to wonder if the kid needs a change of scenery to get going. A younger rebuilding team that could give him PP minutes would absolutely take a gamble on him. Im still a big believer in his ability and potential but how long do you keep holding out for potential? idk, would suck to see him moved but I get it
  19. These late games...only watched the Anaheim game. Its good for my mental health to take a break from this team. for those brave souls staying up past their bed time to watch them take on one of the worst teams in NHL history, I applaud you.
