  1. While I fully agree the move is necessary I just really feel gutted for the yotes fans who were passionate about their team. The terrible ownership made it impossible. The NHL made their bed with a guy who was blackballed by the NBA because they realized this guy would be a nightmare of an owner, but the NHL let him in and paid the price for it.

this asshole manages to fail upwards and make bank while the fans have to suffer. I just cant imagine what its like for yotes fans right now. this has loomed over them for years and its finally happening.

36 teams possibly in the future? Good God, just what the league needs. lol Like someone said, I'd rather they relocate franchises, but other than the Coyotes, who could they realistically move? I think a team in Salt Lake and eventually Houston could work, though. It also sounds like it's a forgone conclusion that the NHL is returning to Atlanta.

    $$$$$

Owners want a billion dollars to split up every time a new team comes in

Players want their balance of the escrow paid off so the cap can start going up big time again

How much are you betting on these?

    $5 if it’s a parlay, maybe $10 on a straight bet.

I go up and down typically but I’m still on my $50 deposit from last February and to start today I was at $190 but have been as high as $300. Have made a few withdrawals here and there when I wanna order takeout lol

  4. all the economic factors in the world can point to why there should be a team there but there are some realities that cannot be ignored

-Gross mismanagement of the team has left a state full of people who don't care about the team that they have

-The population is so largely comprised of northeastern transplants who might go to the 1 game a year when their home team comes to visit

its tough because now there are several NHLers from Arizona, including a top 5 player in the league. The grassroots movement of getting kids interested in hockey was starting to work. But its too little too late.

This fucking owner gets to buy a team for $400 million, and pawn it off for a $600 mil profit and a guarantee that the expansion fee he'd pay for a new team is already covered if they choose to go back. Being mega rich sounds so easy. You can constantly fuck up and they just keep giving you more money lol

  5. Not a great price but Seth Jones O1.5 blocked shots at -140 I think should be a lock.

He's been getting a ton of ice time, playing around a 40% ice time share pretty consistently.

He's been over in 3 straight, 9 total. Chicago has also been badly outshot in those games, by an average margin of over 16 shots per game. St. Louis has also averaged 38 shots per game in that span. They're desperately trying to stay alive in the playoff race and its a must win so I assume they'll be firing plenty of pucks. Jones being on the ice as much as he'll be, constantly in the D zone, he might accidentally get this over.

Right now, Moneypuck has us at like 84% to make the second round and 14% to win the cup.

    I like those odds.

Now, the other side of this...tonight, we root for Toronna. By tomorrow at 11 p.m., we could be one point from first in the East, and if the Sabres beat the Stars, potentially one point from the President's Trophy.

also of note, tomorrow Boston plays Carolina. If Boston wins in regulation, we can clinch the division with a win. If Carolina wins in regulation, we can effectively clinch 1st in the east with a win (would just need 1 point from 3 more games).

definitely just hope that doesn't go to OT lol. But Id rather Carolina win that game.

  7. Man if Buffalo had just beaten Detroit yesterday they'd be right in the race and I would love to play them. Now they are basically done.

If we hold on to the 1 seed I think we're a shoe in for the 2nd round at this point. Tampa is a tough matchup but Im still confident we win that series. Still, I'd rather not have to face Kucherov if he goes beast mode. Though if we contain him a bit the rest of their squad is MUCH more than manageable for us.

I'd rather Pitt miss the playoffs just for the LOL Factor but they're also getting hot and while it doesn't faze me on winning the series, Id rather be able to lock up a 5 game series win against any of the other teams in WC2 contention
