Not saying any of that is wrong, just that come playoff time, between the grueling schedule and likelihood of OT games, shortening your bench isn't the best idea. I personally do not trust Rempe to be on the ice in a tied playoff game in the third period. but if Brodzinksi is on, I'm not necessarily concerned. Not saying Brodz should be on the ice against Ovi either, but I don't think Rempe is much more than a fighter at this point. I do think he can keep improving and become a Matt Martin-esque player who can be an every day player but he's definitely not there yet
lol fuck me right?

That's a bit rough. He's no worse of a hockey player than any typical 4th liner. He can play center, he can stand infront of the net, he can play hard hitting hockey within the rules.
Players like him are guys that can flourish in the playoffs. Guys like Corey Perry have been excellent playoff performers in the post season. Just because he's not a skill guy, doesn't mean he's not good at hockey. He's good at what he's currently doing and he wants to do more. He could be a flash in the pan player who never has this momentum again. Lets ride this momentum and see how far it goes.
Let's be real. Between Rempe, Roslovic and Brodzinski, I think the fit for playoff hockey is more in Rempes game than the others. As long as he doesn't play stupid, I go with Rempe until the wheels fall off.
maybe a bit rough
I dont think we should be counting on him to play meaningful minutes though. Maybe someone can prove me wrong with metrics or something but I don't feel like he's a defensively responsible player and outside of physical play, he's not someone I would rely on for any meaningful minutes. Playoffs you gotta be able to trust all 4 lines and have them play a lot. a roster spot on a guy who might get 4-5 minutes of ice time is not something we should be relying on

I do think Rempe will get some games in in the first round just in case WIlson decides to be WIlson
beyond that though, I cant see him getting any time. As entertaining as he's been, lets not delude ourselves into thinking he's a good hockey player. MAYBE if the isles get past Carolina he gets in but beyond that, I don't see any reason he should be counted on for anything in a playoff game.
If we get to the ECF and play Florida, who will definitely play physical and borderline dirty, our PP has to be the deterrent, not Rempe

it sucks that he still owns the trademark and everything. Id love to see a return of the Kachina jerseys. Unforutately we'll never see that again
I did read somewhere that he still owns the Tuscon AHL affiliate (not sure if they will continue to exist?) so hopefully he's just inept and not a total asshole who is hellbent on destroying hockey in the desert.
several NHLers have broken in from the state, I hope youth hockey can make it work there
-
damn, as someone who had to go through something similar, that Teppo Numminen line was a bit of a tear jerker
Rocked my Kachina last night and watched (and cashed Yotes ML lol). Just a tough thing to watch happen.
I hope the NHL figures out a way to make it work there again.

Wow - those other 3 series are lookin like dogfights. Hopefully we make quick work of the caps, but then you also hope were ready to step it up a notch for our own dogfight.
this is why the 1 seed is so important
Im confident we can beat Carolina in a 7 game series. But a spirited series against the Isles who will play them tough helps us. The Atlantic teams will beat up on each other. If we get by Carolina whoever comes out of the other division will have played some real tough hockey and we'll be fresher

Its her 40th birthday, reservations have been set for a month, its a surprise to her that we'll have a party of 12 other people waiting for us to get there. It is what it is. Just fucking let me be pissed and leave me alone lol.
If (when) they win game 1 you have to go out to dinner and not watch all playoff games, I hope you know that

possibly? Not sure. they live in a region outside of Poughkeepsie that has weird broadcasting so I'm hoping that they arent blacking out the national broadcast because its broadcast locally in the region even if they don't have the channel
-
I am going to be at the inlaws who live in a region of the state that does not get MSG for some unknown reason so i hope this is a nationally broadcast game

Rangers sweep RD1. I said what I said.
I will only be posting in gifs that truly portray my level of excitement from now through the playoffs
Also as a general message to the board, we may have our fights in the political threads and such, but as a pre-emptive message before we inevitably win the cup I wanna tell you all I love you and you are all Adonoises

cashed that bet and had it parlayed with oilers PL
also did another parlay of those 2 picks, plus a panarin goal, and parlayed it with the oilers PL + Sharks under 3.5 goals
all in all cleared $75 on some parlays last night

Of the opponents we might potentially face the only one I can see really giving us a series is Pittsburgh and that's solely because Crosby.
Detroit, Philly, Washington. that's a 5 gamer at best

Rangers PL + a Lafrenierre Point
he's got points in both games against ottawa this year and think there will be a big effort to get Panarin to some milestones (50 goals or 120 points)
