Phil
Dictionaries are descriptive, not prescriptive. "Nonwords" become words all the time. But you'll be sure to bypass the Grammar Police and keep your editors happy (if you have them) by using regardless instead.
BrooksBurner
That’s one of the stupidest thing I’ve heard If I saw a lawyer being lazy with grammar or punctuation, it would lower my expectations a notch. I'm not sure why you think it is stupid to expect proper English given the context.

GordonGecko
It's funny because proper grammar is something that triggers people and brings up a lot of grade school trauma. But it's nowhere near as bad as being triggered by expectations of doing basic math problems in your head. I've seen people go off at the mere suggestion that they be able to calculate something simple like they've been bullied all their life and now it's time to lash out lol. There's actually a whole area of psychology called "Mathematical anxiety" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematical_anxiety
Pete
I mean... Fair. There's nothing worse than conflating grammar and typos like the people who think it's a victory to correct they're / their* in the Internet age. But math... Fuck math.
