Phil Posted April 3, 2015 Share Posted April 3, 2015 It?s time to play the music, it?s time to light the lights, and it?s time to officially declare 2015 the year of the TV revival: ABC is developing a reboot of The Muppet Show. The network has ordered a pilot presentation featuring the Muppets, EW has confirmed. Details of the plot are being kept under wraps, but Bill Prady, co-creator of The Big Bang Theory, is co-writing and executive producing with Bob Kushell (Anger Management), who will serve as showrunner. I see a few names there that I'd love to see again. John Cleese, Steve Martin. But looking at some of the others, I don't think it's stretch to say that this will be just as popular as the first time. There's some major star power there. I would say Jason should be, without him, who knows if the Muppets would be back and this big again. He had pushed for a long time to get a new movie. Also, Disney Junior is now running Muppet shorts in between shows. My son is going nuts when they come on because he loves them. You can watch the videos on yotube on the Disney Junior channel as well. They are geared twords kids, but I watch them when they come on because I love the Muppets.
